My brake booster has died(71 240z)- ive gota stand on the brakes to slow down-- hiss while braking- high idle etc. Ive cracked it open and the diafram(i cant spell) is split in 4 places.. Now repco doesnt sell kits nor does a local brake place. Are they the same as other datsuns --180b 200b 240k etc Ive got a spare 73 240z-- it does not fit.-different bolt pattern. ive got a 260z 2+2 and it doesnt fit either. Anyone know of who does sell kits in australia?- will i have to go to nissan? any ideas?

ok the motor(datsun) is gone. Anyone wanta swap for a 240z/260z rolling shell? or $2400 cash Ive also got some 14" MG wire wheels -knock off hubs- that fit it email me on datfreak@optusnet.com.au thanks scott

Ive got a '65 healey sprite, the same as a MG midget that im selling. It had a datsun 1400 motor in it but ive sold that as i was going to put it back to original(ie bmc motor). It is in primer and needs a little more work before painting. It has all the glass etc- needs front bumper ,grill and a couple of gauges. Id like to swap for a 2 seater classic zed (240z or 260z) thats in similar condition- ie rolling shell with no motor. I'm in Toowoomba QLD email me on datfreak@dodo.net.au for pics scott

Im selling my project car.. a '65 austin healey sprite. Body wise it is very straight but needs very little work to get perfect. It has no motor in it..but has been modded for a datsun a14 motor, which I still have. Anyone in AUST got a gear boot-- the rubber one.. is it the same as a 200b etc? I'am scared to ring up nissan as parts are often $$$ as ideas?

very interesting website.. Is the cam tensioner adj on the outside of motor? Id love to know the specs on the pistons.. power output is unreal-- but looks very "cammy" ie very little under 4000rpm(would be great for racing). I was quoted $77aus each for Kameari valves here in aust, which was out of my budget- but Kameari 46mm inlet valves and 38mm exhausts would have been very cool. What is 338ps in howerpower or KW?

I have a original radio for a 240z BUT i think it is a really early one as it does not seem to have FM(no "fm" printed on the buttons).. Did the '71 have fm?? Does anyone have a original FM one ? also want some "good" interior door trims and rear strut caps-plastic cover for bolts. pls email me on datfreak@dodo.net.au will edit some more on later

If this could possibly work you could get a 3.17l Lseries six from basic parts..l24 rods/lz22e pistons 1mm flycut -wih 10.4 compress ratio. ok the rod/stroke ratio if a bit average ie 1.56 but a bit of extra time with balancing would help...and with 3.17 litres you wouldnt need to rev it out as much anyway But seems a way too good to be true..any one tried to fit one?

My fuel flap lock doesnt work with my key. And further more even if my key did work the "crank" bit of the back of the lock wouldnt engage the latch on the car- It looks like some one has put a door lock into it! My q is: I'm getting this lock changed by a locksmith so it will fit my key BUT if i put a fuel flap crank on the lock will it work as normal- even if it is a door lock?(ie is the lock bit the same?)

I have a cannon tripple webber manifold that i was going to setup with solex mikini carbs, but now i have sold the car that i was going put them on to so... I have two 40mm mikini sidedraft carbs(recent reco's) on a toyota manifold, that i was going to put on the manifold and i was sussing out getting the third one-- $450 for the lot anyone?email me for pics/info on datfreak@dodo.net.au

damn my mistake-- i just sold my '72--- but i need the horn pad for my new '71.. my current one is the original '71 but the inside is a fairly butchered and doesnt like staying on-or for the horn to work

I know this 240z steering wheel has been on the forums a bit lately but... I'am chasing a new (or better then mine) horn plastic round thingy that goes on to a '71 240z. Does any one know if any others will fit-- ie 240k??

Sorry to revive this thread BUT.. has anyone bought any kits since the post?? I need new carpet for my 240z but id really wanta keep my vinyl original...so i dont wanta cover it with carpet.. I'd like to fit a kit myself but if the finish would be better taking it to a upolstier(spell?) and getting it made up id do it.

the wheels have a backspace of 130mm-- and they are 16 X 7 ...looking under my car it looks it would be very close to fitting..like 10-15 mm gap before the strut... is that enough?

btw.. Is there any markings that indicate what offset the wheel is?

I'am looking at buying some beautiful rs8 wantabe(spelling?) 16 X 7 wheels but i dont know if they will fit. The seller says that they are off a skyline and he had them on a silvia(both 114.3 hubs).. looking at the rs8 japan website, that would make them +35 offset(or there abouts) with means they wouldnt fit my 240z.. is that right?? Any info, advise would be great!!
