  1. This post shows the same problem in 2013 http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/90440-installing-eibach-progressive-springs-for-240z/?do=findComment&comment=1084567
  2. Yeah! Another video! THANKS!

I was walking to work one morning in Tianjin. A grocery store I would pass would often have its deliveries on the sidewalk outside before they opened. A street dog walking in front of me "marked his territory" on the produce. The same thing happened at a fish market in a fishing village I was at. I wonder what the rats do to the open food?
  4. Not sure if it will cause a fuel leak but for a new build, it is good to do hot valve lash adjustments after initial 30min, 50km, 500km and 1000km.

It is easy. Steal ring toy from a baby. Cut it in half. Glue to carb filter.

Getting back on track. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-steel/china-to-carry-out-steel-inspections-as-cracks-down-on-low-grade-metal-idUSKBN19V0G4 600 steel mills closed due to poor quality in 6 months will give a magnitude of the problem and cheating of quality. Bad steel is a big business and there does not seem to be any significant quality controls enforced. It gets in the supply chain of brake rotors and we end up with crap.

It is not a "political opinion" , it is a fact. Poor quality and fake products intentionally spewing from mainland China are getting into every sector including Z parts. Keep your head in the sand or help others avoid them... your choice.
  9. That is all I could think of. The mechanical pump has a high pressure limit so it should work on its own with the return line dead headed. Not sure how high the pressure will go as I never tested this but it may be a way to rule out short cycle of fuel bypassing the bowls.

One way to get low end torque.

Ever want to make fake Cornflakes and cheat Kelloggs? Now you can for only $9,000. So easy, almost as if these machines are mass produced and marketed for this task as they cost so little. go figure. https://kelidmachine.en.made-in-china.com/product/SvRJmxyTqnpO/China-Fully-Automatic-Industrial-Kelloggs-Corn-Flakes-Plant.html
  12. If the fuel rail is a standard 240z one: Does the fuel rail still have the small orifice on its exit so that most fuel goes to the bowls rather than return to the tank? Try running with just the mechanical pump and the return line dead-headed.
  13. WOW Congratulations! btw your car's value probably doubled or tripled with this added to its pedigree! $100k + at Barrett Jackson in a few years!
  14. The problem mentioned in the fire truck crash is to see ahead through the windows of cars in front. It is like the sensors can only see what is immediately in front of them.... not like us dumb humans who can tell what is going on 500m ahead most of the time. I bet the industry will lobby govt; who will yield, to mandate ID and location transmitters (tracking emitters) on all new vehicles so that their position can be "seen" by these current poor systems that crash and kill.
  15. A similar earlier incident: rews. I fear for road construction crews.

All areas where man exists have corruption... some more so to the point of it being normal. THAT is the source of the problem... others merely join in.

Beware Chinese crap listed under another country of origin: Most goods subject to antidumping and countervailing duties AD/CVD orders are from China, and fraudsters in Southeast Asia have developed a cottage industry for diverting and fraudulently claiming the country of origin of Chinese AD/CVD subject goods. The U.S. Department of Justice and European Union Anti-Fraud Office have investigated and identified widespread transshipping schemes operating semi-openly in China and Southeast Asia. Companies posing as “logistics” companies in China have openly advertised and solicited Western purchasers by proclaiming that they can utilize transshipping fraud through Southeast Asia to import goods without the need to pay AD/CV duties. These operations are often headquartered in China, with sham factories in Southeast Asian countries that serve as nothing more than an address to claim as the place of origin for transshipped Chinese goods. The European Anti-Fraud Office has identified Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, India, Vietnam, and Taiwan as major transshipping fraud hubs. There have also been recent reports alleging transshipping schemes using Mexico as an intermediary destination for goods traveling from China to the U.S.
  21. Accelerator Jet Notes: 1. Since the accelerator jet outlet (25) is below the fuel level in the carb (27 area), fuel can siphon out when the weight (24) and ball (23) do not seat. This usually happens when the engine is running (vibrating) and jiggles the ball and weight. 2. At WOT, the air flow in the throat can pull a steady stream of fuel from the accelerator circuit. This extra fuel will add to the fuel from the main system to enrich the top end.

  23. With a little dust they go for $75k to 100k in Japan. Kats I'll buy it and ship it if you can sell it? We split the profits 50/50
  24. I see brass throttle valve rods running through the centre rather than steel. Do they still use bushings or have they upgraded to bearings?
