Aim for 14 at idle (richer is smoother idle but it stinks) Aim for ~15 to 16 at cruise Aim for 13 at WOT (12.5 to 13.5 range is fine)

Sounds like the car has diarrhea ...start at 47 seconds into the video.... it still cracks me up.
  7. There are so many interactive parameters with side drafts that tuning may be challenging for some. The first crucial steps are to ensure the engine is in top form, the carb install is w/o air leaks, and that all linkages to the carbs start moving at exactly at the same time and they open the same amount to 90 degrees (where the stop bolt on the floor under the gas pedal will do its job).

  10. On a 240z I used the longer one. I needed a short one for a 510. It depends on where the manifold shaft ends.
  11. I call it a Shepherds hook for obvious reasons. I think the proper name is torsion shaft. They may be shorter and adjustable on 280zx's

    CO is my hero!
  14. They look like they will bolt and go. You may need to shorten the shepherd's hook rod coming from your firewall. They pickup the carb's rod between cylinder 4&5. Your configuration has it closer to the firewall.
