  2. ? The Hoover bag will never let you down ?
  3. From the great Brian Little: " The one on the right is a P79/P90/P90a chamber. It's actually larger/deeper in volume than the N42/47 at 53.5cc. Compared to an open chamber design you can see how the flattop piston "quenches" the mixture into the sparkplug as it reaches the top of it's stroke. This is a pretty standard shape for most modern heads. The photo is after shaving it .080", I measured it at 46cc in volume. Note the extra water hole on the bottom right vs the N47. 4. I have one from a chap named Jeff that is 53.5cc. One sec and I'll find the source.

  9. We have time machines in Canada. You can go back in time and change the gender on your birth certificate so an odometer reset is down in the noise. btw the guy in the pink shirt in the middle is our prime minister. Yes, sadly the real world is worse than South Park could ever parody.
  10. I just did the calc and it seems very close to the tool. Some subtle points are: On compression stroke, the volume of the gasket is reduced by the piston protrusion into it. On the Intake stroke, the piston top is not 79mm down from the block but 79 mm down from its top when protruding. Here are my calcs. Attached is the XLS. P79 Comp Ratio Calc.xls
  11. I would not mess with (17) as the alignment of 15 will shift (which is no fun) FYI: Having the jet go all the way up is just a nice way to set the needle relative to 0 turns of the jet. The Jet will never be that high in operation so no worries if you follow these two steps: 1. Just use a depth gauge to set each top of jet 2.5mm down from the bridge and you will have a starting point. 2. The shoulder of the needle should be flush with the bottom of the piston, not the ceiling of the groove.
  12. Fibre Glass Parts for Junk Yard Cars?
  13. Some carbs have safety parts that limit the jet's range of motion. These are usually under the carb where the jet is.

@kats photo of possibly HLS30-00003, seems to show there is no "welded mass" plate on the oil pan circa Q3 1969. Some say the extra plate was to help reduce cracking due to vibration caused by the early crank imbalance.
