  1. I just got lucky and picked up a 17020-N3326 kit. @jfa.series1 (Coming to a mail box near you... they do not ship to Canada) BIG THANKS!

@Captain Obvious Captain,a rare find in your region ~120mi away.
  3. Jim, I'm not sure if you know but a picture of your car is on this web site: http://bumperautomobile.com/datsun-bumpers.html I found it in the bumper for sale ad on Kijiji (Canada's Craigslist) https://www.kijiji.ca/v-auto-body-parts/city-of-toronto/datsun-240z-260z-bumper-1969-1978/1447334379?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true @jfa.series1

  5. Just ordered an opamp to repair the radio. All is good. Old (Pin 1 is on left side above. There is a raised line on the left edge) New
  6. Yes you are getting reversion of fresh air. If you can attach your sensor to a pipe that draws from deep in the muffler folds back into the exhaust pipe then you will be able to tune at idle.

If it is really 350mi then sell on Hemmings or BAT. You have a car worth >$60k
  9. Pertronix gap is 0.85mm from the net.
  10. Some thoughts: Is the point-gap adjusting screw(below) turned to hold the sensor off the rotor? Is the sensor too close to the rotor? Did you inspect and lube the springs and breaker plate under the top pieces? Are all screws snug?
  11. Spatial Dyslexia? Or just liked to punch things.
  12. Dry is fine but other options that are also fine are: Aviation Form a Gasket ( @siteunseen) Copper Spray a Gasket (My fav) Silver Paint Anti-seize brushed on They seal and allow for easy removal.
  13. Please press the admin for details on a tribute 50th 240z or if it will just be a 370z with stickers.... and please give warm regards to Mischievous Mike and Mr. Matsuo from Janet and I.
  14. Hmmm, normally you can do both and drastically raise the air/fuel ratio. Something seems odd?
  15. It usually is fuel level too high or jets too big. 9-10 will foul your plugs quickly.
  16. Others here can. @Zup @Captain Obvious
  17. Thanks. I wonder if something is coming loose in the distributor to cause the break up? btw the fuel pressure change should not make a difference for carbs. It is an EFI trick to flow more fuel.
  18. If you dig in, the photos in this thread may be helpful: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/40425-su-reassembly-step-by-step-part-1-tear-down-torn-n-tattered-worse-for-wear-n-tear/
  19. Like #6 today is for Kats ?

Slightly higher temp is normal for engine braking in but you may be a bit lean. I concur with Dave on the oil pressure.

Hi Jim, I looked at early VINS and the very early one in the Engine FSM. They all have the nylon support. I think that rail may have been customized or perhaps from a JDM model.
  22. Yup. We are swimming with the big fish now.
  23. Yes. The Govt's are for the people, not the corporations... that is the problem... study your history.
  24. Exactly... and the Govt's that let companies close in NA and move shop to China. NA currently has the tech lead but could lose it if not for Trumps current trade war...at least one thing he is doing right. Too bad people do not recognize the significance of this. I guess I may have some insight having helped a Chinese company break into a market then working for them over a 9 year period.... I saw the good, then bad then really bad. I'm glad they were shown the door in the end after their method of operating changed from NA at the start to Mainland Chinese over the 9 years.
