I have L28 with shaved N47 in Blue. I hope to get back at it soon. A bit like an MN47 but not quite a peanut shape nor as much squish area.
  2. Welcome Oscar! If 12V direct to the pump does not make it hum then it seems to be dead. There is a device in the front of the car called an airflow meter (AFM) it has a mechanical switch that sends power to the pump when cranking. These can stick or corrode. Have a look here: http://atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/EFI&fuel.htm
  3. Great news Ron! Yes all of us familiar with Bosch EFI systems have had to deal with electrical contact corrosion. Inspecting, cleaning, and dielectric-greasing every connector you can see on a 280z is actually a wonderful grenade approach to trouble shooting! It seems to do wonders every time!
  4. btw I will guess the 4/2 came about like how they added 2 cylinders to an existing 4 to make the L24.
  5. It could be 3/3 for the power transistors in the ECU though. I am trying to find a schematic.
  6. There are 6 resistors split 4/2 in heat sinks.
  7. His third major resto that I know of. A brilliant craftsman!

Nissan kept the improvements coming at all times. You will see many changes over the 240z's 3 years, and most were not aligned with a new model year.
  9. You could unplug and swap injector leads between 3 and 4 to see if it is weak injector current due to @Dave WM's post #11. They should just reach.

Beautiful car! It seems the blue was the colour of parts-department supplied housings however some very early Z's sported the blue colour in some Nissan documentation This may be HLS30-00003 from July 1969.
  11. Odd for first 3 out of 6 independent items.... not at all like carbs. Could be problem with fuel rail as it is only item splitting front and back 3.

  20. Before: Bumpers are in good shape. Roof liner is perfect.
  21. My Sept 70 parts car arrived today. Sadly it only had two front wheels on as rear suspension pulled apart when putting on flatbed. Grrrr. Anyway all is well. Back end is gone but a lot of interesting parts: BRE Spook Rear hatch with vents Dash with radio and 140psi gauge Excellent Centre console Grill Badges I need to figure out how to get the hood off to see head and front end (which I need) It also came with ZFinding floor pans and BadDog Rails in boxes ?

Be sure to see the Castle in Trim and New Grange passage tomb if you are traveling just north of Dublin along the Boyne River!y You can climb the tower in the Monastery at Slane. My fav spot was a bit further north in Old Castle, another passage tomb/hill Witch's Seat/ Cairn. We used to go to Virginia when homesick... lots of coniferous trees! Watch out for black spots and speed traps! Also if you are in a pub, be sure to try chicken curry half chips and half rice. We were addicted to Tato crisps and Cadbury chocolate. You can get nice sandwiches and soups too. Best in the world... even at a Spar. Chicken with stuffing... baps.... chicken tika sambo, almond fingers..... mmmmmmm
