Kats drives something a little bigger that has no mirrors ?
  3. Ouch... fun fact: wrestlers will cut their foreheads to show blood. A small cut goes a long way.... great demo! Now if you followed Nissan factory safety....
  4. The made in China compression testers look like testers but not all of them are. If the hose was not low expansion rubber then it effectively acts like a balloon/air cushion and the compression will read lower. The calibration of the dial gauge could also be off. If you have an air compressor with a good gauge or some pressure gauges then you can cobble a compressor to your compression tester and see if the gauges align as you pump up the pressure.
  5. FW Sarah!Great to hear from you!!!!!! You will be back. ? Be sure to connect if you ever come up to Nova Scotia.

Kats, My best friend from high school got his helicopter pilots license at this airport: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Langley_Regional_Airport I visited him a few times when he was a student and there were also many student pilots from Japan training. He could speak Japanese and tutored many. Good times back ~ 1991.

Kats, did you ever see this one? 240sx KA24 4 cyl head (well two heads cut up to make a 6cyl special head) then bolted to an overbored L28 and stroked.... then twin turbo's!!! L31DETT A young bright kid in Phoenix did it many years ago..Bryan Blake. His dad owned a machine shop and was into drag racing!
  18. OK 44.5cc Thanks!
  19. Thanks Guy! Hmmm I trust both you and Brian Little but he gives 46cc here: http://datsunzgarage.us/p79/ and you have verified with two heads so I will default to you and update the tool... however can you please confirm both of your heads were not shaved before you received them? Here is the revised tool: Z Engine Planner S30 Engine Modeller V4.zip

I have a period correct mirror used in 432R. No knob (light weight for racing) 96321-E4100
  21. It is good they are all the same. I think the test gauge is the problem. If you have the spindle in the normal spot, try starting it up!
  22. After you finish, double check every "mouse trap" spring to ensure it is clipped correctly. Wrenches can bump them off.
  23. Hoover found this on their website. So~$400I would guess.
  24. Each cam lobe has to be close to straight up to measure the lash. Look at the picture below. An easy way to do this is to put the transmission out of gear and short the starter solenoid blade connector with the +12V starter terminal using a big flat screwdriver. (MAKE SURE IT IS NOT IN GEAR AND KEY IS NOT IN IGNITION). Watch the cam rotate and stop when the desired lobe is up. Oil will pump out of the head and eventually fill the head and drain out the rear right side of head so be prepared to wipe it. If you remove the plugs, there will be less battery drain.
