  3. YES! I would love to see a thread based on S30 activities in Japan in 1969.
  4. Welcome to North America car culture...the used vehicles still get half of the front row in many dealers .There are some larger dealerships where a second building/business is needed to deal with flipping the trade-ins. Below is a NJ Toyota dealer I used to go to. The new car sales are in that building in the distance and their lot is out of the frame. The building in the foreground and all the cars in the next lot are trade-ins. There are even more trade-ins but they are usually not worthy of sale on the lot and get pushed to auction where you can often get good deals. Here is a Nissan Dealer in NJ where I saw my first Skyline GTR tribute in 2008/9. It was in the show room. The front had used cars like below. They now have a 2nd building dealing with trade-ins.
  5. Wow Kats! BIG THANKS a Jan 1970 article published in Dec 1969 with 432R on Suzuka in Nov! It will raise some eyebrows lol: " The proposition given to us is that the race, the fact that we have to have enough battle to rally enough in the rally, the ride quality of passenger cars, the practicality to use practically enough for sedan as well It was a contradictory request. Also, being able to mass-produce, this is not to recover, price is cheap, weight is also appropriate. In addition to that, it was that we had to conform well to the United States which is the main market of fair lady." Who is the speaker in the article? When were the Nissan Murayama tests done? (of which the photos are lost)

  13. Nissan USA (Mr K) sponsored the SPL-212 (Datsun 1200) beginning in 1960. Jean Le Plant and Benny Ackermann raced it.
  14. First post-war Nissan roadster win in Japan was by a privateer Genichiro TAHARA in 1963. He drove a 1962 Datsun SP310 (1500) :

You could try wiping any newly ground body panels with phosphoric acid to neutralize the rust.

    1. 2. Use 27mm socket on crank to turn the engine clockwise as viewed from the front of the car. If you overshoot TDC on the crank, you can back up CCW then re-approach CW. (Don't go backwards (CCW) and stop at TDC). 3. Removing plugs makes turning easier and more precise.
