  1. I'm wondering what is the best way to remove the seat brackets on my 77 280z? I am guessing to drill out the spot welds but I want to check with the experts first.
  2. I hear you... facebook sucks. It is unsearchable, content not accessible from the real world and all the data fades into an endless scroll. Facebook is like living in a gated community. It is fueled by the general public's insanity of photographing themselves and their food.
  3. I have not been able to open the page for ~ 1week. Is it down? https://www.ontariozcar.com/ozc/forum/forums/general-discussion

Great! I have a Gnose for blue but it is a 77 so the lights don't shift.

You know the drill. If she was driving she would be shopping for an ejection seat.
  8. Also, when the hose is connected, it balances the "push" of the rod so there is less sticking of the jet due to torque imbalance. The jet in the video worked fine when the hose was attached.
  9. or choke, only use it to start the car when it is cold. Once it is running, turn it off. Note that sometimes the choke cable is in the off position in the cockpit but the jet on the bottom of the carb is stuck down. This will cause too much fuel to be added. You may have to reach under the carb and push up on the jet to make sure it is not stuck down. Here is a video of the jet moving. It sticks at 00:13 in the video. http://www.classiczcars.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=o_1ch3isfo91hcf1pmd1f081op211qjb Jet Drop.mp4
  10. Try blowing >100psi compressed air through all hard lines and into the tank connections (open filler when doing). It worked for me ?
  11. Pulling choke will do that.

    Thanks.
  13. Yes but when you tick it, the values change to the market rate for conversion from USD. USD prices are normal like $99.99, Canadian prices have weird fractional part like $186.21.
  14. @Captain Obvious & @zKars Just checking with you to confirm that the 87 Fiero has a combination oil pressure switch and sender? I wish to continue to use my oil pressure gauge and have a cut off switch for an electric fuel pump. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/pontiac,1987,fiero,2.5l+151cid+l4,1249141,electrical-switch+&+relay,oil+pressure+sender+/+switch,4588 Thanks

Looking for an AC system for my 77 280z
  16. Wimp! I plan to do 3,600mi in a rusty turd... with Janet cursing me the whole time.... she married adventure ? btw she will shoot at me with that gun if we break down.
  17. btw it is ~30% cheaper to get 200sq ft of this product (Kilmat 50mil) and double it up to get 100mil vs 80mil. It has the same butyl (non-asphalt) substrate as B-Quiet so it should not stink. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Kilmat-50-mil-50-sqft-Car-Sound-Deadening-Mat-Sound-Deadener-Insulation-Material/302659659000?hash=item4677ebe4f8:g:a3kAAOSw8i9aT4tf
  18. @wheee! Thanks! I just ordered the B-Quiet. 100Sq-Ft of Ultimate comes out to $3.72 CAD per square foot including shipping and taxes. They do not have fixed Canadian prices, they simply convert from USD to the current CAD using Google. Be sure to order when the USD is low.
  19. I got Blue in 2003. Was forced to find work abroad in 2006. No fun leaving your family for so long. Always glad to have helped you!
  20. Not sure. They had side airbag device that I removed.
  21. Did a few things this evening after work: Drained the gas tank...looks like a nice dark ale. Vintage 2007. Removed carpets, removed the the tar barrier from the floor pans, vacuumed the interior and test fitted a BMW seat.... comfy! Looked at the past good old days before 2006 turned my life upside down. Good ol' Blue
  22. I can send the blocking plate from Blue. It has no EGR. I can get one from the z Barn if you need one. Use propane torch to heat the aluminum. Repeat a few heat cycles with Liquid Wrench cooling. A few taps on the top of the bolt helps break corrosion and works the solvent through.
  23. Thoughts on measuring: Step 1: (Benchmark using Synch Tool) Step 2: (Calibrate Benchmark) Step 3: (Conduct measurements)
