  2. Sit in a chair and watch a movie, put a towel across your lap and start rubbing the cam with a scotch brite. No need to rush... after a few days of leisurely scrubbing, it will sparkle.
  3. Cams are tough. Scotchbrite pad, any oil, and some elbow grease. Before After For the rockers, put some 600 grit sand paper on a marble/stone cutting board (TJ Macs kitchen area) then pull and roll the rocker surface towards you. Water or oil on the paper helps. Pitting in the surface is OK.
  4. It seems like some contiguous serial numbers were painted the same colour. Perhaps yours was the first of a batch or last of a batch that was out of step.

Trump said: “We’re going to have a great vaccine very, very shortly,” “I think we should have it before the election, but frankly the politics gets involved and that’s okay, they want to play their games, it’s going to be right after the election.” Now the very first business day after a new president was selected, it is announced.... go figure. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/09/health/pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-effective/index.html

  9. One more useful tip:
  10. Looking forward to it! Hopefully soon... let's hope this crazy Mink-Mutated Coronavirus out of Denmark is not going to be a wrench in the works.
  11. Hi, You should remove the valves. Cutting down the exhaust valve guide helps flow.
  12. I can send it down if you want to play. I'll need it again in May to help my friend tune so lots of time.
  13. I have an old Innovate LM-1 that works fine. Remember Toronto 🙂 I simply stick it up the exhaust pipe when needed. It logs but has an old rs232 i/o. It also has an aux input for logging another input (such as rpm). You will have more precision if you measure at the manifold or collector however measuring at the exhaust output gives the same steady state values (cruise, acceleration, idle) but the instantaneous changes are smoothed. (See lovely graph below) 🙂 Ideally an exhaust gas temp sensor and O2 sensor on each runner would be the best but for street, using IR thermometer on plug or exhaust runner and measuring RPM drop when pulling one p[lg at a time are adequate checks for cylinder-to cylinder performance variance.

  15. Took a day to get the "chicken coop" Z going. then drove it 600km straight to get home. A couple of stops to flush the rad. It performed better the longer it ran. It sat in a Chicken Coop since 1986 and we got it going in 2007.
  16. I want the oil gauge 🙂
