Xenophobia in China.... heel yes. I was bringing two customers from Hong Kong into China in 2010. They took us to 3 separate areas. I got through (Canadian Passport), one customer got through (American Passport), one was held behind (American Resident with Côte d'Ivoire). I had to go back to help. Even though we all had invitations and correct documents, he was not getting in. Once I pulled out my Huawei ID, they immediately changed their minds and we all got through. The poor Africans stuck in China ?

Here is what lead to this. The washer reported a nd code for no drain. I slid it out and cleaned out the pump (on the back). We ran a load and during the spin cycle, the washer started knocking mid-way. We went to have a look and smoke like artificial fog (think rock concert) started coming out of the drum. A strange rubber smell but no burning smell. Upon inspection, the drum was off-centre and rubbing on the front seal. The smoke was from wet abrasion of the seal. I have not opened it yet, but it is clear the spider has finally broken after ~ 9 years.

My annotations did not make it to the post. The crappy Samsung design has a white metal spider connected to a stainless steel drum in a damp environment spinning in a huge magnetic field. You could not have better engineered a galvanic corrosion machine..... well I guess the rear trailing arms of the Nissan products from ~ 2008 come close. Bottom line is that it WAS a great washer and looks great from the outside but the inside has rotted. We just ordered a MADE IN USA SPEED QUEEN with 7 year warranty and industrial components. Now the fun for Janet and I to remove the dryer that is on top of the washer. ? Always fun to be had!

Cover your eyes too... no kidding. FYI Research is pointing to the virus attacking hemoglobin in red blood cells. This is what Malaria does and it is why some researchers think the malaria drug works. Also correlation of severity with blood type A also points to blood being significant.

A key point!

1. (DCOE and SU) Oil or grease paper gaskets. They last longer, seal better, and do not stick or tear when separating during future maintenance. 2. (DCOE) If you have the optional cold weather starter circuit on your carbs, the plungers that seal the openings to the throat can corrode and/or seal poorly. The trick is to remove the plunger, apply some valve grinding compound to its sealing tip area then use long needle nose pliers to seat it in place and to rotate it to lap a perfect seal. Be sure to flush out the compound after this work.
