parts wanted, parts for sale
Are you looking for the clip that holds the panel down (it's metal? or the rubber bumper that mounts to the side? The photo is a bit blurry but that does not look like something I have ever seen on an early car. Could it be some kind of fuse/relay box?

Combo switch
Here is a photo a wire diagram I have used for sometime now. Here is a section that shows the Hazard and ignition switch area and shows a Green/white wire. Maybe it will help. Could that connector go to the Flasher?

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
I pondered that last year. Got involved with getting a LSD. Just finished converting a R180 out of STI and it fits so much better than the R200 I had built. Need to stop screwing around with it a spend time in the seat. Keep in touch. Don Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released
Not yet. Haven’t come up with plan I like yet. I will spend some time on that soon as I have plans to replace the head with an E31. I’ll be curious what you come up with. PS. Hasn’t caused a problem yet though. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

1972 Float Adjustment ...
Mark You are trouper for hanging in on those problem. Here are a couple things that come to mind: When cold starting my 240 w/Ztherapy carbs I immediately reduce the amount of choke once it starts. As the engine begins to warm the rpm’s will increase. Then I start Reducing the amount of choke. It is my understanding that when the choke is used it automatically causes the butterflies to open slightly allowing more air to enter. With all the misc adjustments I wonder if they open to much causing a lean environment? Last thought: at almost four full turns isn’t the nozzle lower also and does that require more vacuum/suction at start. Has he checked for vacuum leaks? Sorry as I hate to muddy the waters. 1972 Float Adjustment ...
Here is my experience with a stock 240 with 12 yr old Ztherapy carbs. On cold start up (after a sitting for a couple days) I pull my choke all of the way on while starting. Once it fires I reduce the amount of choke enough to let it idle at about 1200 rpm or so. As the car beginnings to warm the rpm’s tend to increase allowing me to reduce the amount of choke. Eventually I am able to completely shut off the choke and it idle in the 800-1000 range showing on the tach. Ps; running on a mechanical fuel pump. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Idle doesn't decrease-sometimes surges-when shifting
Could be your nozzles are sticking and if your are running rich I’m not sure you show be at four turns. See if you can replicate the high idle while sitting still Then push upon the nozzles up to see if they move up. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Should I be concerned?
I had this problem when I installed an after market balancer. The belt would work for a while and the get hot and then slip. Tried a bunch of different belts and could never cure the problem. Found a single groove nissan balancer and installed it. Good luck.
