Replacement seat belt question - rigid sleeve length?
A 70 had a three belt system. Each lap belt connects to a bolt on the floor on each side of the seat. The third belt attached the a bolt above the quarter widow and the the other end attaches to the buckle on lap belt. I can send photos if you need. Don's iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Getting my 73 240z to start
- original export model bumpers or replicas for a 1972 240z
Stainless bumpers have their issues also. It al comes down to what you want and expect. A concourse quality re-plater will charge $1000 + for just the bumper without the over rides on an already straight bumper. Metal work can double the price. We each have to try to decide how much we are comfortable committing. Personally I have owned original, after market and a set of stainless I had shipped from Europe. I have never been totally happy with any although most have been acceptable to most observers. It's like everything we buy, buy the best you can afford and check out the source. You are going to be sooooo happy with these. Bought mind some 15 years ago and have had very few issues. Don's iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile- fuel mixture or jet adjustment nut settings
Mark do you think that valve adjustment effects he initial issue "popping exhaust". Also for FYI I finished installing a Zstory full exhaust system and took it to a Dyno with out tuning it at all. Carbs were so lean we added 1.25 turn while it was warming up just to get it below 14:1. Then backed it off .25 after the first run. Final run was 11.71:1 so probably could lean it out some more. Definitely would rather run rich. That change took out a light backfire on deceleration. Don's iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile- fuel mixture or jet adjustment nut settings
Sorry for weighing in this late but those plugs look like they were dirty to start with. Not sure you can rely on what color they are now. Beside running the engine for 5 minutes won't tell you anything. If it was mine and I thought I was close I would buy new plugs and drive it for a week or so. Preferrably with some hard runs. Then check them. Ps I think these look lean and at 3.5 turns they should be darker. Does anybody think a valve adjust could be park of this problem???? I recommend the permatex glass sealer. It allows you get under the seal. I used it years ago until I purchased the Nissan seal. Didn't have to use any thing after that. Best of luck Don's iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile- 69-71 Transmission crossmember Needed

I have always thought the color of plugs should be checked after driving the car, not just reving up the engine. So I have always driven on the freeway near a rest stop and coasting in from speed with the engine off. Then pull the plugs to examine. Must be the backyard mechanic method ?????? I paid $395.00 without the blue tooth adapter. Same vendor did the same conversion earlier this year on a Wonder Bar radio for 62 vette. This gives me a completely stock look with both AM/FM search and ability to attach my iPhone to play Pandora or stored music or pod casts. Or attach iPod..etc. Capable of driving four speakers without an amp. I currently have speaker kick panels with Tweeter mounted in the Air Vents for directional control. Planning to add an 8 inch amplified sub under passenger seat and two rear speakers.- Z-story exhaust on a stock 240

Just received my series I original non working radio back after having it converted to FMR-2 system. 4 speaker 45W per channel plus " sub out "and an "aux in". Had a Blue-tooth option but didn't add it. Had the same thing done to a Wonder Bar radio from a 62 C-1 Vette. Work great- Z-story exhaust on a stock 240
Today was the day I got around to install the Z-story exhaust'. Looks good so far. Haven't started the engine yet as the system is temporarily fitted and I still have to install the updated R200 drive shaft. Goal is to finish tonight and run on the dyno tomorrow. More photos to come.- 81 5 speed "what it worth
Update: I paid the 795.00 for it. It is s 83 close ratio and received the trans along with shift lever and mounts. Cleaned it up, drained the fluids, turned the flywheel, added new clutch, and new rear seal. Installed it along with a R200 LSD. Works great took me couple days to get the shift lever just right to work with my series I console. Works great. A 12 year newer trans shift so much nicer. My experience is you will be happier with a Nissan seal specially in the upper corners stainless fit. Good luck. Don's iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile- Shoulder belt
I have always adjusted my shoulder harness to be snug to my should and still allow my lap belt to to buckle as far to the right (nearest to the console). I then hook the lap buckle into the plastic box to hook to store it. Simple to reach across your shoulder remove from hook and buckle it without having to re adjust. See photos below. Decided I was man enough to DIY the rear joint and add the R200 yoke. Followed the recommendation on this site using a vise and sockets. It is way harder to remove than replace. Knocked a needle bearing down on the first try. Second time was a success. Installed the Mfactory LSD and the driveline. Need to get it if the jack stands for a test run. Part 2 I was at Xfinity (Comcast) the other day and they gave a home security system with free installation and monitoring for 2 years. Didn't need it as I already have one for our home. So had them install in my garage. Free security for my cars, parts and tools. Who said nothings free. Plus they lowered my monthly cost by $60 month. Installed the R200, halfshafts and front and rear supports. Installed the newly converted driveshaft. MT-90 arrived today. It's ready to take out for a test run but need to decide whether reinstall the old exhaust 1st or go directly to the new Zstory full system before the test run.
