  1. The car on BAT in Seattle is real. I visited the shop late last week when it first showed up. It is a nice car with some over detailing with paint on everything. Nothing that can't be fixed. Biggest question is "is there something hidden under the new paint and dynamat? Some before photos would help it. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  2. I used the same dampener on my stock 240 motor and had a problem with the belt with matching up to the other pulleys. Belt slipped all the time. Check them before installing. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  3. When I last checked it is at $16.9k. Saw this car today. It has nice curb appeal. Dash has a cap, aftermarket bumpers & radio, LS mirror mounted on RS, everything has been touch. Floors are covered with dynamat and underside under coated. No evidence of "RUST" or what's under the new paint. I guess is it will get to 30k +/- some. A PPI would be in order and a paint depth measure. Overall nice car. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  5. If you need someone to pull the head call Duane Bender at Vintage Motorworks in Kirkland. For someone to work on the head work Use "c&d engines" in Kirkland. http://www.cdengines.com/ Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  6. Oops sorry I am not much help there. Pretty much a 70-73 experience.
  7. What year are you working on. We commonly remove the "Jesus" clip and the pin from underneath. Use magnet and a long screw driver. Otherwise you will be going Jesus where did the clip go. We do this early year cars. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  8. I have installed two sets of MSA headers recently and both used the spacers as they call them. What brand header are you using. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  9. Good time to install new studs if you haven't started yet. The ones on each end are the most prone to snapping off. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  10. Put one each on the stud that is in between the exhaust manifold and the intake. They allow you to tighten both using the stud. They don't go on the manifolds where there is a hole. I usually start with the exhaust and the add the intake. Torque them all a little at a time evenly until tight. I usually torque again after heat cycle. Assuming we are are talking about an S30 engine. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  12. Would it devalue it to polish it. Been saving it for that early serial number car I haven't pull the trigger on yet. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  13. I have been wondering what an early Nissan 2400 OHC cover is valued at. Has any one bought or sold one recently?

  15. My 72 came with that same plate. My 71 did not. I have worked on several 70 Z and none had that plate.

I would love to find an early car that is not a total rust bucket. Ive had a 71 and now a 72 but a new project.IMG_3531.JPG

I have lots of hard to find parts I've been saving. This one looked good at first glance but the paint job was really suspect and he didn't answer my inquiry so I passed on bidding. Didn't have time to get there before the end so maybe missed a decent one?

The Yellow one on Ebay was from the same guy in Graham, He also had it listed on OfferUp for $15K Looks like it sold for $8600 on Ebay.

Looking through the sold listings I see his white 70 looks to have sold twice, not sure how you do that. Perhaps the first buyer backed out?

His ads look sketchy at best. In my opinion I would look elsewhere. Not answering questions is a big flag too.

Nice ones are out there but getting harder to find for a decent price.

Is this your Orange 72? It looks nice.

Yes, lost my 71 in 2012 to an accident (not my fault). Bought this in Oregon from second owner who had it 25 years. It had just been painted but needed everything else. When I took it in to remove the screwed on mouldings and aftermarket mirrors I found some areas of rust and one thing led to another. Repairs and total repaint in December last year.  Pretty happy with it right now. Would love to find an early Vin car to start on. Thanks for the compliment.

  17. Still don't know the final HP but for sure it is lighter and engine sits behind the front subframe. Could be special on track days. We'll see this coming summer. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  18. Yes. The owner came in because he liked the 240 style but had owned a S2000. He wanted to know if it could done and had the $$$$ to open a checkbook. Car came from Spokane and the drivetrain is Japanese import to avoid most of the US sensors. AC is Honda vintage air combo. Dash will look totally stock. Obviously a totally custom suspension with a Nissan LSD and Willwood brakes. Engine has been started and car should move under its own power before end of year. 19. Do you have photos of the parts? How do you plan to do mats or carpet. I have an NOS aftermarket version that is all chrome. Trying to decide weather I want to add to mine. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
