  7. I would say between $6 and $7k. I just bought mine two months ago and while yours is nicer mechanically, mine has less rust (AZ car) Yours is also more original, which i would value higher. I think with the right buyer you could get around $7k for it (just my personal opinion) I wouldn't accept anything in the 4's, I think it's worth more than that. I would settle around $5,500 on the low end, if absolutely required Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  8. Took her out all day today.. met some buddies for golf then for cold beer and burgers at Fred's Texas. Next on the to-do list: Oil change and replace drain cap and o-ring Flush radiatior and replace coolant Flush transmission and replace Replace shifter pin and bushings Replace rack and pinion boots Install new shift knob (MSA is out of those nice wooden ones - anyone got one they'd sell?) Check my AC compressor functionality and install if working My 5th gear syncros are having issues at high RPM/speed, which has me worried... shifts into 5th at lower RPM and speed Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  15. Finally got around to adjusting my idle speed down to something realistic.. ran around with an idle of 1000 rpm and ran great, maybe even better. No adjustment to the BCDD needed, downshifting and deceleration and shifting were great and predictable I'll try 800 rpm next. I also put in my third tank of gas recent and switched from 93 octane to 89. Happy I did, not running as rich now. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  16. the shifter pin? or retaining clip? ha frustrating day but all you can do is laugh about it
  17. Yesterday: Had my new shifter bushings and pin delivered. Went to go install the new parts and get the brand new shifter feeling. lost the retaining clip.. no biggie, i ordered a new one. got the shifter pulled. Couldn't get the old bushings removed and didn't want to damage anything. Found the original retaining clip behind by passenger seat and re-assembled everything and went for a drive and errand run to pick up groceries (had to make sure everything was assembled back correctly ).
  18. did get a chance to meet up with my buddy tonight who is now keeping his 67 Firebird at his house. He had this in HS and has kept it since. Two classic cars getting to know each other on a night out on the town
  19. thanks guys - i'll start adjusting next week, headed out of town this weekend
  20. what adjustments can be made to it? Should i start with cleaning the electrical? or has it probably failed.
  21. I've cleaned all the EFI connectors and used electrical contact cleaner a couple weeks ago. seemed to help a little bit.
  22. pardon my ignorance - is this the BCDD?
  23. well, appears I have the following parts removed from my intake / EFI system: 1) Air Regulator 2) BCDD 3) Dashpot 4) EGR 5) Altitude switch (under dash next to the hatch pull) I've read a lot of these removed can actually be upgrades. My Z did come from Arizona, Cali before that so it could have had all the Cali smog additions removed after she turned 25. I fired her up and let it warm up, then started cranking on the idle screw and lowered it down to 1000 rpm. idle was a little rougher, but VERY rich. it was already running rich, especially with 93 octane, but this was Donald Trump rich. It revved okay at that idle, no issues. cranked it back up to 1500 for the time being. Next time i'll take it out and drive with the idle adjusted and bring a screwdriver with me and see how it does. my throttle body has a big phillips idle screw. did the L28 come with both a phillips and a flat head screw? everything i've seen in a manual was flat head my next question - is the routing of my ignition coil wire close to the EFI harness and CSV an issue? next i'd like to temporarily re-route it and try firing it up
  24. lookin good! lemme know how it performs for you
  25. see my comments in your quoted posts... thanks for the comments!
