This beauty was out of Ohio. I talked to the owner and it's a Robello built engine. Dyno'd at about 290 HP at the flywheel. -
23 cars qualified for a chance at the gold cup. -
These two 240Z had over 280 points. -
It feels a little funny having the judges going over your car. -

No, I moved the hooks there. I wanted them out of sight and still be able to use them to tie the car down on the trailer.

You should get the cam reground, install resurfaced or new lifters. Try DeltaCam .

Check with your local auto parts store. In the "Help Me" section they sell replacement caps.

I agree, use new head bolts. MSA sells them also try your local parts store.

With that much paint your better off stripping her down to metal. Todays paints are better than the one's of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Use some 80 grit on a 12" disk. The bigger the disk the better. Then get some good primer on her before you start the metal work. Or you can do the metal repairs first then strip her and do the primer just once.

Those are the tie down hooks that originally come on the bumper supports. I moved them out of sight. I use them when she goes for a trailer ride. -
Those pedals were custom made. I provided the drawings and they were made out of 1/4 polished aluminum. They are for sale if interested. -
The mirrors are Italian made by "Vitaloni". The grill insert is custom made, and it is sweet! They are for sale if interested. -
Go to your local Advance auto parts. Replace BOTH. And I will see you AND your Z at the convention. Ed

Sorry I missed your original post. I was going to suggest that it was probably still rubbing against the backing plate. There should be an even gap between the it and the drum. Glad to hear that you got it fixed. Did you do the spindle pin while you were there?
