  1. The T/C rod (tension/compresion) is adjustable. The amount of adjustment is very limited though, your talking about maybe 1 inch. The tie-rod is part of your steering. As far as bending things back into shape $ talks. And with enough $ you could pretty much do anything. Like mentioned earlier take the wheel off and inspect, compare the drivers side to the passenger side. If you wheel is off by 3 inches then the damage should be obvious. Take a picture for us and we will tryto get you going in the right direction. Good luck and Don't Drive your car until you get this fixed!

Jason, I would think you would find a better deal and a car in better condition in California, since you mentioned your going there.

I was considering using a regular type paint, Rustoleum, Krylon or something like that but, If it started to flake after a couple of weeks because of the heat I think I would be mad. I hate to do a job twice. So I'm looking into the high-temp paint that's available. So far I've only found black and silver. I wanted blue.

There is a member here that installed a Subaru power steering unit in his Z. I can't remember his name, he's from Australia I believe and has a highly modified yellow Zed. Someone help me.

the tools you see on prime time tv. Like "Wildest Police Video's" or "Worlds Worst Drivers" and "Real TV". Unscripted and real. The guy driving the tank through San Diego, or the guy that steels a bus in Los Angeles. All tools:stupid: :stupid: :stupid:

Don't know if any of you have checked out the MSA website lately but I just noticed that they are offering the clear turn signals again. I wonder how long they will last?
  12. It really depends on how bad the rust is. If you can load some pictures we could help you make a decision. Welding in a patch would be the best way to go if the rust is in small areas. But if the entire floor is shot then replacing the entire floor board may be your only option. They are available at Motor Sports Auto (MSA) . Maybe a Zed owner in California could refer you to a body shop that has done it. If not, find a body shop that has experience with body pannel replacement. Good luck.

  24. Sounds like your head may have had some work on it. Or is really worn. What type of head is it and is there a chance that it has a different cam? On your #3 inlet a few things come to mind: 1. Since your valves were out of adjustment the valve has worn into the seat. 2. Someone replaced the valves for some that are a little longer. Different heads use different length valves. How many miles does the engine have? Maybe do a compression test to see what condition your engine is in? Getting your valves running properly is very important. The last thing you want is to break a valve.
