Blowing fuse
I have found the connection to the washer from the switch. Is there and grounding concerns on the column or special way to connect the the switch to the column? Should there be a bushing or tape so the whole switch doesn’t touch the column? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Blowing fuse
Hi guys, I know there is wiring diagrams for research. Which I have looked at. I have a circuit that keeps blowing a fuse. The scenario is that I have a 71 240z I switched from automatic to manual ( I don’t this this is related) I keep blowing the Domelamp/Luz/instru circuit when I press the washer button. I believe this the instrument cluster as well who’s the only movement from gauges is the amp while trying to start. The wire coming from the fuse box looks to be red with blue. If anyone has any suggestions of where to look that would be most helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Rear spindle removal
I would personally rather have my threads stripped off and know my tool isn’t failing. Just me though. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Rear spindle removal
It really didn’t work that well. The tube was too thin and bent. These tools were designed for a spindle that is not seized. Mine may have been severely seized not sure. I think the idea is good. Just the materials used were cheep. I still had to use a torch/hack saw / air hammer/ sledgehammer/ lots of swearing/ 1 can PB Blaster penetrating oil. Several long bolts and chisels. Then literally all day I have negotiated with zcar depot to return the tool for credit since I have rebuilt 80% of my car with them. So sorry it is no longer available . Maybe their source of these tools will be annoyed and start using thicker material :/ Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

My 240z project
The motor is pretty much ready to start. I am waiting for the exhaust to show so it can be bolted on. It is coming from California Datsun. I started this motor project with good friend at Miner Automotive. I still have my 240 block that came out of the car. I felt that some day I may have fun building it. Unfortunately it is not matching numbers. My grandma had mentioned that they had the motor replaced and no longer had the original when I got it from her. So with that said we decided to build up a F54 block with bored flat tops and original e88 head. I ordered some z therapy carbs and here it is ready to fire. Not sure my grandpa would understand the polished parts . But I got carried away making it mine. My mission has been to keep everything stock except the motor and obviously color. My grandpa always wanted to paint it silver so keeping it green wasn’t the best option. So I chose a tint of silver “charcoal “ it is a Nissan color though. Going to finish getting her running then off to paint.. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Ignitor 2
Does anyone have any experience with this electronic points replacement? I have a 71 240z that I am wanting to replace the points with a electronic system. I have heard about replacement of the tach and distributor with a zx model. Just curious if anyone has replaced stock ignition system with a electronic system with minimal mods to the the chassis. Zed I have not started the motor yet. I was just trying to collect info from people that are familiar with the ignition system and try to compare apples to apples. Mine does not match the FSM Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

ignition wiring
Hello guys, I am in need of your help. I have searched this site and google for help on this topic ( search not too user friendly for me on this site, must not be doing something right) I have a 71 240z that was an automatic so there is some extra wiring and relay in part of this problem, I am converting to manual. Another problem is that some of the wiring was charred, I took pics and tried not getting things mixed up. The wiring to the coil and distributor does not resemble the FSM, the FSM does not have 2 B/W wires from the harness by the driver side horn I have as the following 2 B/W stripe wires- one going to the + on the coil and the other going to the resistor 1 B wire going to 6 pin plug which goes to timing relay for Automatic Transmission then I believe it is connected to another black wire in that 6 pin plug going to Distributor (not sure where) 1 Y wire that I believe goes the temp sensor 1 G wire going to 6 pin plug for A/T relay then one red wire leaves the plug going the neg terminal on coil and a wire is spliced going to Distributor (not sure where) 1 G/W stripe going to the other side of the resistor. any tips or guidance would be very appreciated
