I'm going to look into that, it looks like a good idea and then I don't need to change much besides getting a newer transmission maybe a T5 I think it's down to that it an rb25 because it's relatively the same power to start off with and around the same cost with mounts and a wiring harness Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Here's my plan with my car, it is currently a 4 speed and I'd kill to have a 5 speed or 6 but the car just doesn't have enough guts. I take it to shows, I take it to tracks, and drift but if I wanted to take it to bandimere and do quarter miles I'd like it to not run slow times. Hey guys I'm looking into options for motor swaps or info on making more power out of my motor. 77 280z n/a I've heard you can modify the l28 but limitations are the strength of the motor with power If I went l28et it's stronger and I can get a 5 speed but limitations come in with the computer I've considered sr20 rb20 and 2jz, I've also looked at ls1 but I'm trying to keep inline 6 if I can. My ultimate goal is a motor that I can get 250-300 hp and 300-350 torque out of and that I can turbo to get there or without. I actually didn't take the fuel neck off, I had one of my shop buddies to an evap test and nothing was blocking that or any of the lines all the way up to the carbon canister. I will post some pictures when I have some daylight Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

So I found when I took my panels off near the filling point in the hatch that the hoses for the venting were twisted. The tubes that are twisted both run to this black air container looking thing, and then one looks like it goes down into the tank area and the other looks like it is the hose for the vent that sits under the fuel cap off to the side. I am going to try and tackle these this weekend to fix my problem is there any advice or tips I should follow, I'm more worried about the line going into the tank, will I have to drop the tank to disconnect and replace the hose? Hey guys I don't know if you can help me out. I bought this car about 3 weeks ago and the fuel system seems to be a big problem. Every time I go to gas it up if I don't take 20 minutes to slowly fill it up gas spills out of the tank from where I am filling it. I fixed the pressure problem it had by getting a new ventilated cap from the auto store but it still spills and when I tracked my mpg's I'm getting barely 10 to the gallon on a car recommended at 22. Also I can smell unburnt fuel whenever I'm driving so I feel like I have a leak somewhere but I just don't know where or what to do. Ok I need help it seems my gas gauge is now not working correctly as it is almost always sitting on empty but when I try to fill it the gas spews out of the tank. Mostly my concern is the fact that when I open my gas tank there is so much pressure being released and I have no idea what is causing it. The car runs and drives fine but the pressure and the gauge are worrying me. I also just replaced the original gas cap with a locking ventilating one from the parts store. 77' Datsun 280 just bought the car, looks stock to me no mods on the car
