  1. Next dumb 2 questions... 1- Did you use a 6 + 3mm rubber washers because there wasn't a 9mm rubber washer? 2- I presume the metal washer is oriented away from the mustache bar?
  2. So is this 2 3mm metal washers with a 9mm neoprene washer between them?
  3. My mfg 12/70 Z original engine has the passenger side oil drain plug.

Is this verified or on an honor system?

I wish these stats would breakout vaccinated vs un-vaccinated. Of course if they did that there would be those that would say it was rigged.
  6. What about one of these... The price is sure right! Óleo 240z Cam Spray Bar (cactusplusn.top)

Don't know if @zKars ended up making these, but it would make it so you could lock down a much wider timing range. New Product Idea. Distributor Timing Plate Re-Design - Engine & Drivetrain - The Classic Zcar Club (classiczcars.com)
  8. If you can't find the original I know this one fits since it's on my car and tucks up nicely in the drive line channel. MagnaFlow 4" Round Center/Center Straight Through Performance Muffler

Lifted this from another thread. 260 is the same.
  10. Yes, there are other relays besides the ones added for the electric fuel pump. Hopefully others can address replacement options. You don't say which pump you're thinking of bypassing? Car should run with either pump bypassed. On my '71 I've removed the mech pump and gone electric. from your picture that has the mech fuel pump in it it appears both the feed and return fuel lines are connected. I also note that the original flat top carbs have been replaced with round top carbs which was also done at some dealerships because of the vapor lock problem.
  11. Just noticed you have multiple threads on this. I replied in you other thread here; Where is Fuel return line? - Open Discussions - The Classic Zcar Club (classiczcars.com) Which thread do you plan on sticking with?
  12. If it has a electric fuel pump it will be back by the front of the tank. Granted that the car I'm familiar with is a '73 240Z and my electric fuel pump was added at the dealership after complaints about vapor locking, that's also when the asbestos insulation was added to the fuel rail. I was not aware that the electric pump was stock on the 260Z, but since you have the asbestos insulation on your fuel rail I would guess that you also have the electric pump back in front of the fuel tank. The thing I don't see in your pictures is when the dealership did the electric pump and insulation they added a fuel pressure regulator just before the mechanical fuel pump. The factory update sent to the dealerships for adding the electric fuel pump and other stuff to address the vapor lock issue is in this linked PDF; https://www.classiczcars.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=55316

Hopefully I didn't come across as being down on Pastafarians or Jessica. She's actually pretty talented. Played Carnegie in her teens, is a Mensa, don't know if her website is still up, but she's the web master. And I don't know if she still drives a Corvette.

So what are you running in the quarter... My guess is 13's or 14's, oh, and the sound is awesome in the video.

I use Purple Power Degreaser and a power washer for my engine bay and engine. With my engine cold I don't worry too much about the distributor. I've had a distributor cap crack when the engine was warm, sure makes it run bad! 🤪
  18. I ran these for a while and had room for both carb vents and vent from valve cover which overall maybe a little cleaner by reburning the crank fumes. Now I've switched again, but still have all hoses connected.
  19. What a great show. Loved the line "he's got a point, you know". And then there's the Rock Man, "you see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear".
  20. So how do you start your 240Z? For 48 years on a cold engine start I pull the choke, hold the pedal to the floor and crank. Generally it fires within 4 seconds. On a warm engine I just have to touch the key and it starts right up.
  21. I don't think the Catholic Church cared much for this when it came out, but I thought this covered the Easter story fairly well.
  22. I saw them in roughly 2004 at Cactus Pete's in Jackpot, NV (no Mark Lindsay though). They did all their hits, very small venue (maybe 100 people) and was a great show.
  23. From the serial number of the car it should have the body vents in the hatch. I'd be more inclined to go with @Racer X and the quarters replaced.
  24. Interesting, a couple things I noticed on this car. I'd never seen a series I car with both body and hatch vents. I think the hatch vents went away at serial number 20000, so this car is close to the end of the series I line of cars. My 71 is 17486 and it still has the 240Z body emblems where the body vents were placed in the series II cars. Also my map light has the hood which supposedly is a series II thing where this car doesn't have the hood on the map light.
