78-280z Rear Strut Insulators
Ok! That sounds great. From what I can tell the front and rear insulators On the 240s are identical. I think il do that and use the spacer. The driver side insulator is in good shape, so I would only be replacing the passenger side, but I want the same ride height. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

78-280z Rear Strut Insulators
Whelp, I removed the spindle pin from the lower control last night ( don't use an air chisel if you wish to reuse the spindle ) , and my strut fell to the ground! After further investigation, the Strut Insulator rubber is cracked clean in half. I have read forums, called auto parts stores, and searched the various online Z-car stores, with no finds for the rear. I am going to pull an Insulator from a part vehicle I have , but I don't have high hopes for its condition. Does anyone know of an aftermarket source for the Rear Strut Insulators ? Good news though, I finally got the Front Suspension is done! wheels mounted and all! (I`ll attach a photo of the destroyed spindle and the broken Strut insulator)

Heater temp valve leak
. Hey guys, I have replaced the heaterhose tubing that protrudes from the firewall, but that was not the cause of the leak. I am assuming this part ( part in photos) is a heater water temp sensor . Question is where can I find a new one?? I found a rust hole in the flood pan and am 99% sure this leak is the cause. The leak from this valve is a steady drip even while not running. Any help or advice is most welcome, as I am pretty much stuck atm. Thanks! Cody Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

1978 Radiator
BTw I talked to a guy with Napa Auto parts today, and I'm I think they have a couple of OEM radiators for around 365$ (not for me price wise) , but those of you who want that complete car. it is a Nissan radiator and the flanges match.. I really think they have a couple of gems !

1978 Radiator
Yea, I think that is the safer bet too, you can look at what your buy before leaving the store. I just called Autozone and a new one is $179.99 (Advanced Auto $248.00+12.00 shipping fee). So that is the plan moving forward. I find it easy to get caught up in all of the online Z stores and Ebay listings and forget to just check with local suppliers lol! Thanks, Zed Head!

1978 Radiator
Well, I just received that dreaded call from my local radiator shop. They pressured my radiator up and it has multiple cracks throughout the upper and lower tanks. So it is now scarp metal. I am curious about the radiators you see for sale on Ebay. The radiators seem very reasonable price wise, but will they bolt up correctly and what kind of quality are they? Anyone out there have any experience with these aftermarket radiators ? I provided some links to kind of show what I am looking at. http://www.ebay.com/itm/UPGRADE-4-ROWS-ALUMINUM-RADIATOR-FOR-1975-1978-DATSUN-280Z-FAIRLADY-Z-S130-L28-N-/322768814567?fits=Year%3A1978|Make%3ADatsun|Model%3A280Z&hash=item4b268541e7:g:ZqoAAOSw5UZZADbH&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-4-Row-Aluminum-Radiator-For-1976-1977-1978-NISSAN-DATSUN-280Z-LOCAL-SHIP-/292261880901?fits=Year%3A1978|Make%3ADatsun|Model%3A280Z&hash=item440c2a6445:g:-b8AAOSwONBZESOO&vxp=mtr

Any Z car clubs in Texas or events?? I have heard rumors about a big Z car event in Austin, but haven't found any dates of information. I am near the Abilene area and would love to meet some fellow Datsun owners! I wont be in my Z , it is still under restoration 3 years in and hoping to have it done by the end of the year

78 280 Z stock EFI
I would like to inquire about the aftermarket K&N cone system is available. May I see a picture. I may end up needing more items. I am currently trying to trace a fueling problem. Hopefully I do not need the entire EFI system, but you never know. Thanks
