  1. I have socks, stack filters etc... most of the time I don’t use much.
  2. I can design the box to flow correctly, really this is just a fun project. Lots of info about air needed for HP. I honestly like the looks and sound of raw stacks.
  3. No. I plan on some sort of stack filters. Maybe someday something like this
  4. Maf doesn’t work with ITB. If i used a intake box it would. I will use tps for most load tables.
  5. A few of you may know this. But last year I designed and made a coil on plug bracket based of Bryan Blake’s ford coil on plug design. It uses the Nissan coil head used on the Nissan GTR R35. Works perfectly, bolts on and you can even buy a very nice pre made wiring harness from platinum racing products. Coils are fairly cost effective. Takes a specific boot (2-3 actually work) to work. It’s one of the best coils on the market. I believe only the AEM coil beats it. Basically he took my design based off of his, then fixed some of my issues and is now selling them. Bottom pictures are my bracket installed on my 240z. Email Bryan to place and order. Eventually he will sell on eBay. bryan@blakemachine.com
  6. My 3.1ish stroker build ran into a small issue. The block will need to be clearanced a little more. The extra long stroked LD crank (84.6) is to blame. The engine can be rotated, and it just barely touches about one time out of three. That’s just the .002” of bearing clearance rocking one way or another. Deck height is within .002” of each other. Andrew Kazanis is a L series wizard. Hopefully when he retires he will build Datsun motors and especially do more head work.
  7. Well I’m probably a idiot. But I decided to swap my Jenvey throttles bodies out for something a little more vintage/ classic. These are late 70s early 80s SK throttle bodies. They are 47mm that taper to 45. I picked them up off yahoo japan. They have a nice vac balance port on them. I bought two sets off a single seller. Now time to fabricate a single piece fuel rail and find a tps sensor that works. They should match my SK intake nicely. The old SK stuff is so nicely cast. I’m excited!
  8. So I rebuilt a hand full of stock ones, I got some datsun pumps off ebay for a different model. Then swapped the guts. Worked perfectly.
  9. Zero cutting with the sx swap.
  10. Some block porn! Just back from the machine shop. Final bore of 88.5. Time to make it pretty then assemble.
  11. I threw mine away. Sorry
  12. Well injectors are back and I have efi spark plugs. I spent a while tuning this weekend and with Tioga’s help I think I finally found one of my major problems. The tps was set at its highest sensitivity. It would bounce from .34-.49. Thus causing the ecu to think it needs to apply timing and fuel and making it run terrible. I turned it to the lowest and it’s rock solid at 0% and .01 of a voltage change. Haltech is a nice system. But wow is there a lot of settings. If anyone needs Z car help. I would recommend Tioga with Automotive Solutions! IMG_6375.MOV
  13. They are an hour from me! We have a strange amount of datsuns in my area.
  14. Project hand throttle is done and working. Should help with cold starts with my ITB. Until I get my iac system sorted out. IMG_6218.MOV IMG_6219.MOV
  15. They have sold a lot, I am guessing people will start to post flow numbers as more people install them. I would think it would flow every well.
  16. Thank you! Trying to make it a blast to drive, tinker, but also I can go back to bone stock fairly easily.
  17. I got my stock series 1 tach to work with coil on plug. Basically it senses the pulses in the voltage, just like stock. Works perfectly.
  18. No. Just a N42 block bored. I’m not chasing a ton of hp. The 3.4+ is a lot of work and $. I actually think I will be at at 3.16 or something. But that sounds dumb. So 3.2L
  19. From Rebello I got titanium valve retainers, pistons, rods, bearings etc... I will be using a ported and bigger valve E31. Machine work will all be done locally. Crank repair and stroke was done by Marine Crankshaft.
  20. No. I think a fully built Rebello motors are 8-20k. I didn’t get a Rebello kit. Just parts we needed. 10:1 is the goal. I will only use ethanol free premium.
  21. 3.2L engine parts arrived from Rebello today! JE Pistons, Eagle rods and king race bearings. Rod bearing clearances are spot on. Marine Crank did a fanstatic machining job on my extra long stroke LD crank.
  22. I had a tick and I added zinc to the oil and it went away. No clue why, but sounds awesome now.
  23. Some interesting data, https://www.huffpost.com/entry/best-coronavirus-face-mask-materials-new-study_l_5e99b576c5b6a92100e63129
  24. Pretty good news from a stanford study on antibody tests. https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/04/20/feud-over-stanford-coronavirus-study-the-authors-owe-us-all-an-apology/ Infection rate is way higher then expected, but death rate is close to .12-.2%. So much much lower. So covid moves faster through the population, but is less lethal than thought. Amount of deaths are still so high because of it's infection rate. Still puts total deaths at 400k for the US alone.
  25. Wow, what a strange reaction to my comment. I am sorry I commented. My friend is some sort of researcher for the cdc. He was my roomate in college, Biomedical Engineer was what he was studying then, but I don't know his exact role at the cdc is. I doubt he is a security guard. I stand by my comment that a knitted mask with visible holes is stupid though:) I hope you all stay healthy and aren't hurt too bad financially by all of this and fingers crossed for a vaccine somewhat soonish!
