  1. I have ac. So it was even worse.
  2. I didn’t change the valve. It looks brand new and holds pressure. Fingers crossed! Also tested the heater core. But it could still be bad.
  3. Got my dunlop 205/55-15, they don't look very big! Also if anyone has ever had to change the heater core hoses, knows my pain, that sucked. But almost all rubber hoses are replaced as of now.
  4. You could have it vapor blasted.
  5. Hopefully the gas tank will go back in next week after coating, started to replace hoses today. Going with normal rubber gas lines, not the braided, I am not going to do braided on anything. I strangely don't like the way it looks. Sorry guys. But I am very happy to find no rust behind these panels! Just lots of dust. Clamps still look brand new, a few of the grommets are ruined and dried, but I should be able to get the areas cleaned and done fairly quickly. Also looks to have had the rear taillights switched out at some point? Or a new wiring harness? So strange.
  6. Found all the belts and got them installed along with my radiator and hoses! She might someday run again. Also found out my AC idler pulley was seized, but luckily someone on a site had found a napa part #38038 that matches perfect, either then pressing a bearing out, plus the pulley was cast iron and heavy and rusted.
  7. Changing all belts and hoses. So far so good. Also going with a plastic fan instead of my stock metal.
  8. Exactly. Air cleaner cover can’t go on and off, hits the bleeders.
  9. Got the oil changed in the transmission, wow did it smell nasty. I hope the transmission is good. I also will be replacing all hoses, got the brake master done, used some copper wire to create the stock bends. Also removing heater hoses with the AC unit was a giant pain! Booster is back from being rebuilt. Only issue is it came back with a paint run in it. But it's on the bottom, so I won't worry about it. My 15/16th master cylinder won't work, the stupid bleeders are on the wrong side and hit the air cleaner:( I will have to find another or go wilwood.
  10. Beutiful cars, but I am only interested in 205/50 and 55. Top is 50 bottom is 55.
  11. Ok slightly torn between 2 very similar tire size. 205/55 R15 and 205/50 R15 Any input? Going Dunlop DIREZZA
  12. Got some of the rear end done. Kind of strange to have everything so nice and then stock under carriage paint.
  13. Thanks it will need to slow down soon, I am getting my 77 bronco (full frame off restomod) back from paint in the next week or 2. I will need to focus on that for a bit. It's like 90% done or more.
  14. Hours and hours of time spent prepping/ tapping these for powder and paint. Still have a little overspray, but shouldn't be terrible to remove for u-joints and such.
  15. Trying to decide on what to install next. Put the rear end back in? Can I put the driveline in after the rear end is in? I assume there is enough play on the yoke to accomplish that? Should I put anti seize on the fill and drain plugs on the diff?
  16. Anyone know if synthetic 75/90w oil is fine for the diff? Also the gasket has a green side and a dark grey side. I assume dark grey is towards iron and green towards aluminum?
  17. I really dig the gold zinc and aluminum of the datsun world. Looks so cool.
  18. Seats came back today and I got them installed, I am beyond happy with the. My friend that did the upholstery really made them perfect, he steamed and stretched them. He said the fit couldn't have been more precise.
  19. More gold! This time rear end bits and pieces. Someone how they forgot a bolt in the box. Now I have 1 single bolt not done.
  20. I screwed up and didn't add a drain for doing redkote. With the baffles and such it would have been too hard to drain. So I had the shop put this in. Now time to fix the powder and do the redkote. 2 steps forwarder and 1 step back.
  21. Bc are welded. My buddy is professional welder and he did the tig welds for me.
  22. Here it is. It started off as a wet sand blasting unit from amazon. Basically hooked up a pressure washer to sand. It sort of worked. I took the pressure washer side off and added air. Now air goes where the water went with a quick valve and a slurry of glass bead/ water goes where sand went. I need to test it.
  23. I spent around 2 hours cleaning the seat sliders, then re greasing them. Wow they were filthy. I also had some surface rust on the seat bottoms so they got a powder coating. I saw a sneak peak of my seats at the upholstery shop. They look amazing, all new foam and padding.
