it's all hatchback... meaning you can sit in the seats and literally turn around and reach into the trunk because it's right there... the rear window connects (hinges) from the roof down to the end of the trunk.... and the "hatch" (rear window"moves with the trunk when opened. hard to explain.... anyway you can get the regular 2 seater car.... or the 2+2 meaning it has a backseat for other passengers Other than that... 2+2's are usually heavier and are "longer" that's about it
  3. check the latest "SuperStreet" magazine, there is an 240Z with an turbo block L28 swap.
  4. it was $12,000 for him to install it... his name is ZR8ED and I still give him mad props for his install but if you spend $12,000 you can do a complete RB26DETT swap
  5. I would love to get ahold of an 5-speed tranny from an 76-78 280Z with an 3.90 differential if available in Colorado or any nearby states. Please contact me by e-mail or on this thread
  6. what would be surprising is if you could use the Z31 tranny on our engine.... diff gear ratios... hmm
  7. damn... how much would shipping be to the U.S.?

best option... put the parents name on the title, mainly because insurance for teens are much more expensive.... me for example, I am 17 years old with good student discount, drivers ed course discount, and not a single ticket or crash on my record..... $163 a month through State Farm Insurance.

by means of modded engine... if I have an all stock engine... would adding on headers change anything? I was thinking of getting a set of coated MSA headers, with 2.25" exhaust. With the headers would the 2.25" be ideal, or would 2.5" be better for all around performance?
  10. Well, I am all set to purchase a set of headers for my 280Z, however I noticed while browsing MSA, they do not have a set of headers which will fit into my car with my automatic transmission. Everything is for manual/standard trannies. Where can I get a set of coated headers for my Z with an automatic transmission?
  11. ha... sorry I understand my fault

I just recently replaced mine.. and I have always used NGK plugs for my Nissan Sentra, my dad's Suzuki motorcycle.... and originally on my Z.. but I went to Napa, Checkers, and Auto Zone, and non of them carry NGK's for my Z, but they carry NGK sparks? Through all the frustration, I bought some Bosch platinum plugs... they say if I am not happy with them i can get my money back
  13. I have an extra set in my garage, of a set of louvers from an 280Z that will fit an 240Z or 260Z or 280Z nicely. All mounting hardware included. Name a good price and it's yours
  14. that's my only set back... It's an vintage car.. keep it looking vintage.... However, I do like the rims, but it looks a bit newer.. maybe i'll stick with my westerns
  15. Well I was excited, yet disappointed at the same time with this car... it's an 240Z.. with an '83 ZX turbo engine swapped in it... but there is no turbo.. he just used the turbo block and put on some dual webers... Can someone please explain why someone would do this.. other than the ease and affordabilty with Carbs? Anyway.. it's a very nice car, with 7 coats of Ford Red paint... nice airdam.... nice seats and interior... check it out
  16. Hmm.. that part number doesn't seem to exist on that nismoparts.com website... can you get it to work?
  17. damn u think u posted this enough? 4 diff. sections... ouch
  18. DO you happen to have that part number? I can't seem to find it directly through the online catalog Oh yeh.. btw.... I am not really a huge fan of those sealed.. filled headlight's.... in my opinion I think they kinda take away the Z look... and plus I wouldnt want to mount HuGe foglights or driving lamps in the front of me car
  19. Well.. today as I was driving down the road and I saw an SpecV... i noticed the rims and damn!.. sexy So i did a 40 second photoshop with MS paint... and I looked up some info.. the rims are 17X7 size... 4X114.3 lug.. but with an 40 offset I can get a quick conversion to make it fit due to the offset.. but let me know what you think... Sentra Spec V My 280Z My 280Z with Spec V rims Any opinions?
  20. We all know they chrome ones are a beautiful touch.... but if you read back in the thread, they are very very hard to find now a days, and if you can find them, they will probably cost you.. unless you have a set you wanna sell me
  21. i have heard researched the covers.. alot... and I have found some that you can glue on.... (which was mentioned before) but the glue... I have no idea what it is.. how strong it is... and if when I try to "pry" the headlight covers off.. will it rip off the paint or leave a nasty permanent glue mark? I figured that despite the horror of drilling into my car, it would be easier to fill and paint a little screw hole that repair that nasty line of glue or stripped paint left by the glue... any ideas?
  22. so... can I still use the same driveshaft? I am going to use an early 5-speed on my '78 280Z... so I won't be using any ZX parts or anything.. can i still use my original driveshaft from my automatic?
  23. do they look like this?
  24. hmm.... if you don't mind could you send me some pics? check my profile for my addy.... I'm in Aurora.. so not far out...
