  1. Meet Looey, my new 1973 Fairlady Z. She moved from Japan to USA with a returning service man, then believed to have spent most of her time in Louisville Kentucky. Now owned by an Australian living in Boston. Previous owner had her for 21 years (almost to the day). Has been restoring it since he acquired her. Put just over 1000 km on the clock over the years. Speedo reads 89k - not sure if rolled over. Looey has not been started for 4 years. She will need some coaxing to come back to life... Plans Stage 1 - Running & Registered Stage 2 - Fix high priority items - interior fixes, seals, etc. Stage 3 - Remove flares and body fixes. Stage 4 - 6 ......
  2. Thanks, unfortunately it is not a 432.
  3. When I got my 1973 fairlady z it came with an assortment of badges, none mounted. I believe the red fairlady z badge and the two red z pillar badges are originals. I have only ever seen the white versions of these, any special significance of the red ones?
  4. Are the serial numbers sequential across all models? So depending on assembly line it might run something like' S30-1000698, HLS30-1000699, HLS30-1000700, S30-1000701, etc....
  5. I have just purchased my first Z. - S30-100698. I think it is a 1973 model however but would welcome some guidance. JDM version, 5 speed, 2.0l. Believed to have come from Japan by an ex-serviceman.
  6. I am looking for the full hood mechanism. Cable, knob, inside bracket, under hood latches. Plus the triangular bracket attached to the fire wall (spot welded in) PO removed it all and replaced it with two hold down latches with pins, which I do not like at all.
  7. Thanks HS30-H. Did not realise they had such a lineup.
  8. what year is this sales flyer from? i.e when did the JDM move from the S30, 2.0L engine to the 2.4L engine?

  11. We once had a car come into the shop and figured someone had used an air impact wrench to put the wheels on. Had to use a breaker bar and a 6ft length of pipe to loosen those suckers. With someone else having their foot on the brake. They are great for undoing stuff. use with caution doing stuff up.
  12. Congratulations on getting this work of art running. Very impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail.
  13. Are you looking to produce one for right hand drive vehicles as well?
