  1. .8% is for the beer money while packaging.
  2. The cutout for the clutch master is already in the firewall. No welding necessary unless the bracket for the flex line from the frame rail to the clutch slave isn't already on the car. Once you get them side by side you will know what to do.
  3. If you bothered to search this site, you would have found the thread or threads that has more specific info.
  4. It's good to have a parts car handy. You can swap the manual tranny parts directly over to the one with the auto. Pedals, driveshaft etc.
  5. search "kia sportage weatherstrip"
  6. I can't quite make out the marks, let me get my magnifier.
  7. I'm not really familiar with the 720. I just don't like how boxy it is. You're not going to get 39-48 mpg with it. That site shows a variety of cars and trucks. it's an old truck, how much will you have to do to it to make sure it's safe to drive. Is it going to do the work you need it for? Check out http://community.ratsun.net/ for other opinions about the 720.

I got the truck up on a lift today adjusted the valves and it passed emissions :-D Carrier bearing is toast, needs RR axle seal, once the front pads wear down it will need new rotors, fix wiring rats nest at the rear and rf parking light, egr is gone as is the air pump, missing some linkages on the carb, it's a wonder it even passed the sniffer test. There is a broken valve cover bolt that has been "worked on". If I don't replace the head, i will at least take the old one off and have the bolt hole fixed. Gas tank isn't original, i don't even know if it came out of a pickup. I will have to take pics of that once I find a tank and replace it. Only pics can describe how it's mounted. The good news, I know of someone that has a parts truck. Hopefully it will have the tank, a/c bracket and the parts to do a manual transmission swap. Even with the problems found today the truck is still a good deal at $600. Future upgrades,,, possibly will go with a weber carb, new intake and exhaust. I'm not sure if i will go with a 2.4 or just stick with the 2.0. Darrel
  9. Did you keep the hose fitting in the bracket while trying to remove the hard line? Might be a stupid question but thought I would ask.
  10. I prefer the 4 screw carbs. To me they are easier to line up the needle and nozzle without rubbing. If you look at the needle and nozzle, you will see the 4 screw is a bit more adjustable in getting them to line up.
  11. Thanks for the heads up. But I found a truck closer to home.

  12. Keep your options open about how far you want to travel to find one. Search craigs list religiously, and you'll find one for a decent price. I will let you know if a couple around here become available. Then it will be up to you to make the decision, how much is too much, how far will you travel, etc.
  13. This of course means war. chugging kokanee at 10 paces in 3,,, 2,,,,

He was asking $400 originally, but since I know how hard it is to find these I offered $600 to keep the others at bay. He had a lot of calls after I made the offer. I rented a trailer from uhaul and made the 500 mile round trip to get this one. It does have a bit of rust, but not really that bad. Floor pans are good, it's just the rocker panels and fenders, plus the various small dents. I should be able to bring the paint back a bit to make it look presentable. I have been searching CL for a while nation wide. I almost had one in tucson I could have flown out and driven back, but he sold to someone local to him. If you really want one, be prepared to fly out and drive it back if it's drivable. There was a free regular cab in roswell earlier this week, no engine or tranny. And it looked to be in pretty good shape. I am on ratsun, have been for over a year. The truck in tucson was posted there first then CL.

    Picked up a 620 yesterday for $600.
  17. It doesn't have the condenser. And probably not a warranty.
  18. Anyone in or near Tucson that can look at a truck for me? Please pm me.
  19. Don't really need a puller to get the steering wheel off. Keep the nut on the column but loose enough so that it will stay on, then bang, prod etc until the wheel breaks loose with the nut keeping it in place so the wheel won't smack you in the face. Oh, and taking the switch off the way you were tempted wouldn't have worked.
  20. I use a pair of dikes(diagonal cutters) to score and grab the headless bolts. Keep the phillips head screws tight until you get the headless bolts out.
