  1. even the side markers have been shaved. So it's a gfuess to what the body would be like and how good a job they did.
  2. I have only seen it from the street as I drove by. It had a green tarp on it. From the pics it looks good if that is the original paint and not a respray. Lonetree steve is closer to it than I am. Maybe he can check it out if he gets a chance.
  3. I drove by this a few months ago while working on a house. I just saw it by the side of a house. Now they have it for sale. At least it looks like it's the same one. It's near Kipling and Ken Caryl. http://denver.craigslist.org/car/207048715.html
  4. I was sitting at a light one time and a fly landed on my dash. Yep you got it, I smashed it.
  5. Darrel

    Need part

or you could do without the shades and get double limo tint.
  6. Turn the bleeder or swap the calipers from one side to the other? Glad you got it all sorted out.
  7. What exactly is your brake set up front and back?
  8. Did you adjust the rear brakes? bleed screws go on the top of the calipers.
  9. Take out the shifter to confirm the bushings for the pin and the plastic cap on the bottom of the shifter is in place. If that is still intact then look for another 5 spd or get your old one rebuilt. You can check my pic gallery here and on hybridz for pics of different transmissions and shifters.
  10. drive defensively. The only thing the other guy saw was his green light.
  11. Bill, Steve The car show is on the 16th, I don't know the time yet. Last year it started at 10am and went until 1 or 2 pm. No judging, just people's choice. The losers of the go-kart race at bandimere on aug 27th will have to cook for the winners. Last year we had just over 50 cars show up for the show and shine. www.zccc.org for the web site, click on the Odometer for the monthly newsletter.
  12. Steve, will your cars be ready for the zccc show-n-shine and cook out at tynans sept 16th? You don't have to be a member to brings your cars finished or not.
  13. it's a generic term for any parts that were made by the factory for any manufacturer. new old stock
  14. Another one, but it's for those who have someone telling them something when they have no idea what it is they're talking about. STFU
  15. The '73 also has a filter inside the electric pump. While on the track my car needed both pumps working. The electric pump was uhooked, it was fine for the street but under load in the straights it would starve for fuel. I use a filter before the electric pump, the filter in the eletric pump and the filter before the mechanical pump. btw, I have a 2.8 running the round top su's.
  16. glad you found it. Usually it's in a very conspicuous place
  17. How are the vacuum line/lines that come out the firewall? Usually one or two become brittle. crack or disconnected. They hook up to a vacuum tank on the pass side strut tower.
  18. lonetreesteve keeps tabs on early 240z's going up on ebay. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/member.php?u=6600 I didn't find any one by newclubsman. Maybe there could be a forum for travelling z people. But then there are a lot of sub forums already, just a thought.
  19. Carl, I have a '73, if I wanted a 15/16" mc I can get the 79 zx mc direct replacement except having to adjust the rod length. Didn't the earlier 240 have the front and rear reserviours reversed from the later 240's?
  20. Probably not, what's bryans screen name? When was he here? yeah, the altitude does get to you. It still gets to me especially when I go over the mtns to the western slope. And I've been here since '72. And I just noticed, you snubbed lonetreesteve too, but that's ok, even if you did PM him he probably never would have responded anyway, he never reads his pm's ;-)
  21. You can check to see if is leaking out the back and into or through the firewall. There is a thread on hybridz about a reaction disc in the booster that might have fallen out of place, I'm not sure of the symptoms if that is the case.
  22. could be a bad master cylinder. Where did you get it?
  23. Are you getting fluid to the calipers when you bleed them? denver/aurora line, that's a big line. cross streets? I'm in broomfield.
  24. Did you replace the calipers? If so are the bleed screws on top? You don't need to bench bleed the z/zx master cylinders. They have the bleed screws already and can run a hose from there to the resivours. What part of denver are you in? yr and model z?
