  1. The prices are posted on their site now. Looks like the complete package is $195. bottle, stickers and pump.
  2. Since a lot of people replace it with either an r-200 or lower geared r-180, they should be giving them away. If I were to go back to the 3.36 r-180, I wouldn't pay over $50 and that for me is a little high. That is still high for a more desirable 3.9 or 4.11 r-180.
  3. I always recommend the headless bolts when lining up the tranny. Whether finding that tip on the forums or something you figured out on your own, good job.
  4. From my experience, I would only get an optima for a daily driver. I still have one that is more than 12 yrs old. Of course this was when they were still made in englewood and not in mexico. The main reason I bought them was because the dry cell. But too many discharges caught up with the battery I had in the z. At the time I bought 2, one for my various daily drivers and one for the z. The one in the z only lasted 6 yrs.
  5. pair of wire cutters to dig into the soft metal of the headless bolts and turn them out. As said in previous post, keep the phillips heads tight to release tension on the headless screws.
  6. I have them all. z car mag z car and classic datsun(except the one that should have come on a cd, mark sayer. It was online for a bit but didn't download it) sport Z Nissan Sport At least they did try to make a go of it for those who wanted an actual magazine. I commend them for that.
  7. Imagine the strain the poor hood latch cable was under when trying to open with fingers caught under the hood.
  8. I rented a car last year and put over 5k miles on it in a little over 2 weeks. I was comfortable had a nice stereo, a/c and cruise control. 8 years ago I took my 240z to the '04 z convention, no a/c, no tunes and no cc. I forget what I took, but had no problems.
  9. Impressioning isn't for the amateur, especially with locks that have wafers like the datsuns. There is a bigger chance you will damage the lock before making a key. For a locksmith the code is the best thing. If the same key fit all the locks then that is your best bet, pull the passenger door cyl. You could go one step further and pull all the cylinders and get all the cylinders rekeyed to the same code or another just so that all wafers and springs are new so a random key won't work like thney all seem to do after 30 yrs.
  10. non-replacable u-joints. What kind of z do you have?
  11. Thank you for sharing your story Jerry, and hope to see it continue. Now for all the other stories you did not go into. How about another thread or continue the other stories in this one? On another datsun related forum ratsun.net there is a thread by figbuck. A very interesting read.
  12. Don't be bashful running the magnet over the pups deposits.
  13. Blue should have a distributer rebuild guide on his site.
  14. They will work if for a z31. Hopefully they were ones that were replaced on a recall.
  15. Check to make sure the temp sensor and temp sending unit wires are not switched.
  16. Englewood Speedway, Englewood Colorado. Closed down in '79 http://autoracingmemories.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=284&pictureid=4265 (J.L. McGuire collection) Nick Weber #88 in a '57 Volvo battles Don Hagen #19 in a '70 Datsun during Wednesday night Mini Stock action.
  17. I don't think it helped much, but couldn't hurt.
  18. It's a great track, especially when you read the history of HPR. http://www.highplainsraceway.com/history.html
  19. July 7th 2012 I was in a group of cars with similar power and experience level drivers. The z car club of colorado holds track events twice a year at HPR. This is the first one for the year. We don't race and has limited passing. It's a lot of fun then you get a group of cars together and take turns leading. Restored black pearl taking the lead in the first vid. Original owner '79 280zx
  20. It was a great day out at the track. www.highplainsraceway.com with the Z club. Ran in a group of three with similar power and experience level. Great fun.
  21. July 7th is coming up fast. We have two pre-tech sessions scheduled at the home of Gary Bracken (2487 S.
