Don't really need a puller to get the steering wheel off. Keep the nut on the column but loose enough so that it will stay on, then bang, prod etc until the wheel breaks loose with the nut keeping it in place so the wheel won't smack you in the face. Oh, and taking the switch off the way you were tempted wouldn't have worked.

I use a pair of dikes(diagonal cutters) to score and grab the headless bolts. Keep the phillips head screws tight until you get the headless bolts out.

exactly! These two movies need to be shown together. The guy with the sock puppet really creeps me out though. He keeps going to the kid.

Just run carb or brake cleaner through all the hard and fuel lines, check the catch can for any debris, then dry out with compressed air. If anything there might be varnish or dust in the tank. You should drop the tank if you haven't already and check inside. Then replace all the vent hoses as you're reinstalling the tank.

  12. I went with illuminas right away because supposedly the hp are setting 3. As soon as I'm off the track the settings go back to 1.
  13. It should still work with the radius bend, just start at the corner and push it in tight as you can. Don't forget to pinch the weatherstrip together so it will fit around the channel better.

I finally heard back from dorman products. So I told him I was taken care of. It looks like it went through a couple of people before getting in contact with Jim.

    doritos ninja throwing star.
  19. Looks like you figured out how to attach pics. When using used weatherstrip, make sure you squeeze the weatherstrip together so it will fit snug over the lip. I think that was mentioned either in this thread or the one on hybridz. I still need to take my car out to check for noise.

When is your interview with barbara walters? We gots ta see ya cry man!
  22. ok, so it's an extruded process. Just as I thought on the bend for the corner, it was bent on installation and not factory corner. So if you were to get the correct profile you could sell it in set lengths that will fit prefect in the s30 openings. Maybe even weld the ends together at 90 deg just like if it came from the factory. Do i smell a group buy? Unless the profile is proprietary.
  23. sorry, didn't mean to be so short. But the years discussed for the kia sportage work well for all the s30 chassis. Maybe Kia used the same on all or most of their cars, I don't know. You can check the pics I put up regarding the profiles and measure those against the profiles your company makes. Hopefully if you find the right profile you could ask about bulk material to sell. If I understand the manufacturing process correctly, the reinforcement metal is put in a mold and the weatherip is injected around it imbedding the reinforcement ring? Or is it run in one continuos length, cut and 'welded" together?
