  1. Keep in mind, it is still a 35 yr old dash with the 35 yr old materials prone to shrinking and cracking. Unless you are doing a complete original real restoration you might have been better off in the long run getting an old dash refurbished by the various dash restoration places around for not much more than what you paid for that one. One that will have a lot better properties to prevent cracks. my 2 cents plus a nickle thrown in for inflation. thread on zdriver about a dash restoration with "after" pics. http://zdriver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20770
  2. The thing with a lot of the pull n saves, they won't sell a complete car to you. Especially one that has made it out to the yard. You might get lucky and find one before it is put in the yard. The pns here in aurora, co had a great looking 610 wagon, cargo area vinyl covering was mint, body was in great condition. I asked them about it and they told me they didn't have a dealer license. They used to sell them but that has changed.
  3. check for any side to side movement of the rotor shaft inside the distributer.
  4. Here's the link for the billet parts. http://www.arizonazcar.com/
  5. The finned cover also increases the fluid capacity. If you don't want to go with the bling az zcar parts you can modify the stock link. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c301/dlh2460/240z/240bracefinnedcover.jpg
  6. hybridz has a few threads on a modification to can make. It uses the bolts that hold the strap in place. This is only one thread, but there are others. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119244

  10. z club meeting this wednesday feb 7th at brooklyns near the stadium in Denver. begins about 7pm. People usually start filing in about 6:30-6:45. pm me if you have time to attend the meeting and I can get you directions.
  11. I have the illumina suspension in my 240. progressives front linear back. I called tokico about the spring rates and they were 140/165. I have no idea where blue got his info for the tokico, unless they have race application springs. The ride with the illuminas set at the softest is great for around town driving. I took the 240 to the long beach z con in '04 and had a great ride. Since I use the 240 a little more for track I will most likely go with the az zcar springs sometime in the future.
  12. Here is the page you saw. http://www.geocities.com/inlinestroker/ You can also click on my gallery pics for the main differences between the late 4 spds and early and late 5 spds.
  13. positive crankcase ventilation. without it you would blow gaskets and seals.
  14. #1 check for fuel injector leaks, including the cold start injector. #2 the check valve might need replaced that is in the electric fuel pump. More than likely the problem is one or more of the injectors leaking.
  15. 2nd on the PCV valve. EFI cars it is on the underside of the intake manifold, on carbed cars it goes on the balance tube.
  16. check with elite auto glass if they are in your area. Not all glass is equal. You will notice this the first time when it's raining and the wiper doesn't lay flat on the glass and siting through the glass.
  17. automatic tranny fluid is filled where you check it. Unless you go to a transmission shop have have the transmission flushed of all the old fluid.
  18. I'll have the shovel waiting for you. ;-)
  19. Are you sure you want to move to colorado?
  20. 7' of the 5/8" fuel rated hose for the vent hose that is on the driver side on the lower portion of the tank. After 14 yrs of sitting, the one in my 240 leaked like a sieve after filling it up. You don't have to drop the tank to replace this hose. You will have to get to the expansion tank inside the pass side to replace it at that end.
  21. I think it's about tomohawk looking for a new girl friend before christmas.
  22. doubt it's for a z. Maybe some kind of plate for a gas tank on a truck. Maybe turn it over for a running board.
  23. You can still look up your number in the member search. By location, name etc.
