Since the Megasquirt is a fuel controller, what are you using for ignition?

Great work! I am seriously considering using a megasquirt system on my RB30/26DETT hybrid. Please let us know how it works for you.

Anyone ever heard of an Aircraft Edition 280ZX? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4507402179&category=6187
  5. Money always seems to be the issue with the RB24 setups. In the end I like to think of it as ones ability to scrounge around for the parts. I have more time than money invested in my part accumulations. I am in the United States. I have a 1978 Fairlady-Z, a RB30 block, RB26DETT head, and a complete RB20DET motorset plus loads of other RB stuff. None of these items were ever sold or made for the US domestic market. I acquired everything through various methods, like ebay, the various automotive forums and even a local importer. You will decide in your own mind if an item is to expensive. Trust me, another one will always come along. It all comes down to patients.
  6. Just wanted to add a note about Building the Ultimate Response RB. How about an RB24DET? Use the crank and rods from an RB26. http://meggala.com/rb24.html I was going to build one of these just to be different. Most likely I will end up selling the RB26 crank and rods and the RB20DET. Now I have an RB30 block and will be using the RB26DETT top end. The never ending quest to be different! :stupid:
  7. No one wants to adopt this poor soul of a Z. Now it's down to $199.00. Unfortunetly I do not even see that much in salvagable parts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7912855949&category=6783
  8. Sorry to say, but I seriously doubt anyone will buy the motor. I still have the one out of my Fairlady. Most likely it will become a core for Pick-N-Pull some day.
  9. Now it is being offered at $399 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7909198809&category=6783
  10. This Fairlady has been on ebay before. The bid started at $999 and of course there were no takers. Seeing the outside makes you wonder about the condition of the frame rails. It would be pointless to cut off the front end not knowing how much is left. I'd be interested in knowing how they came up with 10 of these in the United States. I have one sitting in my garage.
  11. It will be interesting to see what it does go for.
  12. Sent you an email and PM

Nice to know there are others out there that like the 2+2's. I was beginning to wonder if I was all alone. Here is a link to the current condition of my 78 Fairlady 2+2. http://www.bradshawvet.com/zstuff/z_index.htm

Another Fairlady to add to the list.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2478722368&category=6783

Unfortunetly I no longer have any pictures. I made the mistake of letting some one drive it back in 1992. They hit a center divider and bounced over into the opposite lane. A very big truck clipped the front end and tweaked it pretty bad. No one got hurt though.

My 73 Fairlady-Z (R.I.P.) had one of those under dash AC units installed. It worked great except it did not have any kind of idle increase controls. At idle the engine would struggle.

The Japanse inspection sticker is still in the middle of the windshield. Most likely it was not driven long on US roads. Have to agree it is a shame to see it waste away.
  19. This afternoon (2/22/04) at the Rancho Cordova Pick-N-Pull. 1. There is an 81 280ZXT. The motor was complete. Also it still had the CV axles. 2. A few steps away from it is an 81 Maxima with a complete LD28 motor. It is a diesel fueled motor for sure. Pick-N-Pull is having a sale that ends monday (tomorrow), a complete engine for $79.99 plus a $35.00 core charge.

Will 6 from an L20A work? I am not up to snuff on the different bore and stroke setups.
  21. It uses bolt in shafts. It's mine, I removed it and took it apart. Fairlady-Z's seem to always have weird variations of parts vs. U.S. models.

Just wanted to add a few cents about Power Windows. I have a 78 Fairlady-Z that has power windows and power fender mount mirrors. All the wiring and switches appear to be factory nissan.
  23. I have a set of these rims and the center caps say Shelby Racing.
