hahah it does run and stop. seems to be running lean. and I'm not sure if I'll be able to sync the carbs properly with that tie connecting them. ill look into getting pcv valve. do you think the valve cover vent going in the carb will make for a lean condition? I should probably do something about that. I know it's got ugly square lights ...
yes it runs. I need to replace the muffler so I can hear what's going on but it makes a high pitch noise at higher rpm I think is the water pump. it also seems to run a tad rich in low rpms and lean in the upper.
well where the tie wire on the throttle linkage opens the front carb. how would it normally be held? is my valve cover vent in the proper location?
crank case vent is just open right now
so I bought the jcr 240 and have buyers remorse... bought a turd... so with my only mechanical knowledge being with motorcycles I'm a little lost. seems alot has been ripped out of this car in regards to emissions. If anyone would be so kind as to start rattling off things that are wrong. and what's with the tie wire?

Should I buy this car?!
hopefully this post isnt out of line just need a little shove I guess. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a 73 240z with a JCR wide body on it. car seems to run really well. maybe needs the carbs synched. the speed has obviously rolled over as it has 18000 miles on it. couldn't find any rust but there is a repair patch in the engine bay and it has new floor boards in it. the body kit has held up for at least 10 years. 4 speed manual interior decent. the price is 3000 usd. what do you experts think?
