  1. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. It is about 4 hours away, not too bad. The seller told me he can trailer it to me, all I have to do is send him a $800 deposit (non refundable). I could also go and see it next weekend but it would be much easier to have him bring it here.
  2. Hey y'all, it's Calvin, I was active here for a few months back in late 2018, if y'all remember me. But now I have a couple years of mechanic-ing under my belt, and some well placed investments in crypto have propelled me to be on the lookout for a 280z. I was watching craigslist, seeing some nice ones come and go, but hopped onto facebook today and had a quick look, and found this 240z: (link to the fb listing) FB description: 1973 240Z for sale! Triple Delorto Carbs, numbers matching engine. 5 speed 280Z transmission, aftermarket sunroof, no leaks. Factory Air conditioning. Runs and drives great. No rust issues. Datsun competition steering wheel, amco door card guards and luggage bar. So as you can see, it looks real clean, and doesn't seem to have any rust or other issues. It also has a custom sound box in the back, if you're into that kinda stuff. Repainted in the late 80s, but can't see it needing a new coat anytime soon. All in all, what looks to be a real good deal for $20k. What do y'all think? I'd like to jump on it but I don't want to be too hasty and overlook anything. Thanks!
  3. Gotta say, not a fan of that design. There's really not much you can do the the Z to make it better honestly.
  4. Cedar Park! That's 40mins from where I am! Welcome to the forum. You'll find a whole lot of info here, and very helpful members. Although I don't have much to bring, as I don't own a Z...
  5. Yeah... This is too tempting. I'm gonna take a few. I'll pm you. Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  6. [emoji31] Those look so good... What would you use the domed ones for? Don't think they'd fit on a car/truck... Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  8. I have that problem too... You can use a VPN to bypass that. I'll download it and share it here. Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  9. Another way to look at it is to liken it to a water hose: amperage is the diameter of the hose, whereas voltage is the pressure. You can't have a hose too big, but if you have too much pressure it can break the system. Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  10. It will take longer than other paint shops though Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  11. Still for sale... Guess it's a little too pricey. $10k now. Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  12. @grannyknot On your keyboard, there might be a print screen button up above backspace. Once you hit it, you can just paste it in paint. But it's been overlooked on newer keyboards so you may not have it. An easier way, if you have windows 10, is to use the Sniping Tool, a program that comes with w10. 13. Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. I know what the bottom part is [emoji12] what I'm curious about is the part that protrudes out the most, which replaces the bumper. Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  14. Yes, this is a pretty old thread. But I got a question and this is a pretty nice place to save all my info [emoji16] So I often see this kinda bumper on cars for sale, and I'm really liking it. Anybody know if someone sells it, or is it something I'd have to make (or probably get made [emoji28])? Not necessarily that exact bumper, but anything like it is good... Thanks [emoji3] Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  18. Very confused! Brake fluid is abrasive, and water based! Never would have thought it would be OK... Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  23. Haha, I'm not sure who he's trying to attract with that added restored pic... Ugly! Only could drive that on the flattest of roads [emoji14] (no offense meant to anybody who likes that) Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  24. Well it is indeed in pretty bad shape. But remember it's still a low vin... Restored, it would sell for a lot, I think. Sent from my OP 3T using Classic Zcar Club mobile
