    Not sure what I would do with out all your help, sure enough the two greasy little screws were holding me up, also put the floor jack under to level it out and it came right off. Thank you.

    I have the engine out with the trans bolts out and it's separated about a 1/2" from the bell housing. I can't seam to get the trans completely separated Any ideas ?

    I Kinda thought so, I will have to measure for the exact location and drill a new hole in a new patch. Good thing my son is in Paint & Body for a living.

    The door (pillar) tag says the same as the vin 41253 on the top right of that same tag there is a 3 or 8 or S I can't make it out

    I'm still unsure when my 71 was built, I understand that the early 71's had vents on the back hatch. Mine doesn't have them, I'm sure it's the original hatch, the color matches the rest of the interior paint. Were there ever vents on the rear quarters VIN HLS30-41253

    What I meant, I'm not sure I have enough length in the garage to maneuver the engine, puller & tranny altogether, but my wife said just open the ...... garage door.

    I'm also getting ready to remove the motor in my 71 240z project, I was going to separate the tranny from the engine because I don't have a lot of room in my garage. Will this be okay ?
