MSA power window kit
There isn't really any fabrication or customization, it is more of use the parts that fit(there is quite a selection of adapters), and mount the pieces up. All of the required parts come with the kit, you just have to remove the door trim panels, drill 6-8 holes in each door, screw the pieces down, run the wires, and put the panels back on, figure out where to put the switches, and enjoy your new automatic 255 Air conditioning(2 windows down, @55 mph)! I'll scan the documentation and send it out shortly! Will

What makes a great plug wire?
I received 2 sets of Magnacore Part #6524 (Datsun/Nissan 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 810, Maxima 1970-84). These are the KV85 Competition 8.5mm wires, direct they were $112.54 a set. I think they can be bought for less at some of the internet/mailorder vendors. They appear to be excellent quality, and they come with two pages of how to use, and take care of them, a primer on other causes of ignition problems, and a warranty that is not time limited! I almost forgot the super deluxe oval magnecor Sticker(suitable for framing-or covering a mar in paint on the day of a carshow)! The number one consergn on an L series engine would seem to be the condition of the plugs! Great wires cannot make up for bad plugs(worn or dirty). #2 is pulling the plugwires off while the sparkplug is hot, and not either letting the plug cool, or re-tensioning the connector. Will P.S. Exertpts from my emails with Magnecor: "All the prices follow, although from your description our 8.5mm cable is your best choice. Also, these are standard length sets with stock coil wires - if you need something different to stock you should let us know. Electrosports-70 7mm cable, part number 6724 - $56.68 Electrosports-80 8mm cable, part number 6024 - $63.73 KV85 8.5mm cable, part number 6524 - $107.18 KV85 CN series 8.5mm cable, part number 6324 - $112.54 R-100 10mm cable, part number 6924 - $146.57 The "CN series" cables (which are not available for some applications) are special versions of our 8.5mm and 10mm cables that provide extra RFI suppression and are mainly intended for ham radio, CB radio and similar installations with unusual noise problems; the CN series cables do not help with most other applications and take longer to ship because CN series sets are always made to order - they are never in stock. USA: Shipping cost to US ZIP codes is $5.00 for most retail orders (including Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO addresses, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands), we usually use UPS Ground services or Priority Mail. We can ship your order express at an extra cost. Canada: Orders will be shipped via UPS Canada Standard ground service (cost will be quoted once we know your postal code but it is usually $US10.00 or less for a single set; express services are also available on request) - you should be aware that you will have "Entry Preparation Charges" applied by UPS, which are UPS charges for Customs clearance. THESE CHARGES WILL BE CHARGED TO YOU AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY and can be high, so anyone choosing to have goods shipped to Canada should beware. Since these fees are applied by UPS at the point of customs, there is no way for us to anticipate or pre-pay them, however a list of UPS Customs clearance charges to Canada are on the UPS web site at http://www.ups.com/canada/using/software/currentrates/engcustoms_rates.html - we CANNOT use mail for shipments to Canada. Other destinations: Shipping costs will vary - we can ship anywhere in the world. MSA power window kit
I bought one, and they just slapped a label on the box instead of opening it up and checking it out. The manufacturer sells direct for less than the MSA price, and has a web site. I will post the specifics in a bit. While I have not installed the kit yet-the car is on a rotisserie-but, the kit is very complete(if generic). It appears to be well made, and unlike the JC Whitney kit I bought years ago, has replacement parts available. I have run the mechanisms electricaly, and they are smooth and pretty quiet-though I would expect a bit more noise with a door as a resonator. Will

Carl, I'm putting morse code in mine, 3 dots followed by 3 dashes followed by 3 dots-that might get shane4golf some help (from the HybridZ)! Ask the folks at HybridZ, but I would think you could find a better way to spend a couple of days with a 240Z! Will

Z Car On History Channel November 7
Recipe for Full Throttle a TV show! 1) Pick a weekend-any weekend a track is available and just sitting there alone. 2) Start with cars with a following-if you don't get a car people are emotional about-no one will watch! 3) Add several servings of dipstick fed Turbo Twins, 4) Ad four parts of basic automotive knowledge "one hand on" enthusiasts, 5) Add something MSA was willing to donate two sets of 6) 1/2 bake at 20 hours 7) Add a healthy smathering goober antics and temper tantrums from the turbo twins at about 10-15 hours. 8) Add enough History of the original cars to hold the rest of the fluff together-it will take a bunch, so have plenty on hand(older cars have more), 9) Can it and sell it to the History Channel Now, to take the recipe from bland to grand, make the following changes: 1) Start with only one car-but it would have to be factory and close to flawless. 2) Get the four of nastiest handed, published wellsprings of Z upgrade knowledge from Hybrid Z-make sure they are all challenged personalities, with Jessie James and his best bud(for the outrageous materials and time donations that go with them) instead of the turbo twins and their cronies 2) Limit them to mechanical changes only,(Har, Har, fat chance!) 3) Bake for a full week(use a big pan, expect lots of bubble overs)! You will have a media circus, Greddy, Stillen, and everybody else making 350Z performance parts will close up shop for the month before to fabricate something for the 240Z to get on National Television. You will also have a fast car-but you would have also ended with a hacked up, once breathtaking Z, with modifications Bill Gates couldn't afford, instead of easily correctable mistakes on two cars, and some parts for Ebay! Ok, who with several "best in show" awards is ready to give up some keys? Will
