Your question would be better asked at HybridZ.org. Most members here keep their cars essentially or absolutely stock. I would buy an L28ET out of a 280zx turbo, and do the transplant-all of the parts, none of the headaches. Will
  2. I have sanded to several differet points: 1) just taken the shine off the led-a little wider beam that isn't cast as far. 2) removed about half of the dome-wider around the edges, but not as much light. 3) removed the dome entirely, good defusing, but too much light kept in the led(very noticeably dimmer). I think the dome should be reshaped, but not flattened-perhaps shortened and deglossed. I'm at the trial and error stage... Will

They are in a little box on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the strut. Pop the cover and you will see two short thick wires-those are the fuseable links. They should be seporate. The two outer terminal connected together, and the two inner terminals connected together, (inward is toward the engine). I am not sure if this answered your question, but I wanted to try. Will
  4. We had some discussion on a similar thread a while back. I am going to work on led replacements for all of the interior lights. I bought 500 of the ultra bright white leds and appropriate resistors for 12v. The only difficulty I am having is that the leds are pre-focussed, meaning they cast a narrow beam of light-in the guages that means the light is not uniform across the guage. i have sanded the led and that helps, but I have not found something that works well enough at difusing the light that I am satisfied. For the Map light, the leds work great! but for the rest of the lights, they are too directional to suit me. Will
  5. Many locksmiths can do that, but replacing the electrial part of the switch does not change the key. I have a different ingition switch in my car, and I have one side of the key made for the doors and one side made for the ignition. That way I have one key to the car, but a better chance that someone elses keys won't let someone else take my car quite so easily. If it is the electrical part of the switch, pitch it, and get a new one-cheep, available, easy to replace. Will
  6. I'll round up what I have, Will
  7. Dave, The '78 2+2 I bought was vandalizad by chopping up the harness, if the plugs from it will help, I will send them to you. PS, just about setup for photographing/taping/testing the harness install-just gotta find some better lights-I vwant to film at night to show the fifferences in the headlight brightness-hopefully. Will
  8. Swap one form another car-just pull the plug off and plug it into another one. A two minute test! Will

The piece extending off the inside of the handle is what breaks the most often-which means the l shaped plastic thingy will not attatch to it. What you need is a replacement door handle. Will

By Jove, me thinks he has it! Your door will be secure in no time! I am hopeful that I helped! Will
  11. SprialMax does actually have some good science behind its theory, I think the fans actually capitalize on the same theory and try to give the impression they are of much greater added value by including a 50 cent fan and five dollar packaging. WIll
  12. Get the highest quality 10mm flare nut wrench you can find-this is not a job for something from Harbor Freight-or even Sears! Chase down the truck, and get a Snap-On or Matco. Will
  13. At full throttle how much air is the engine pulling, and just how much air do you think that fan will push? (Piston head Area X Stroke X Rpm X 6 pistons) 1-4psi is probably measured at no air flow from the engine-meaning it is actually a restriction in the airpath at anything over idle. It would not suprise me if the benefit is far more due to the vortex effect brought about by the intake passing over the blades than the "pressure" generated by the fan. Check out SpiralMax, you would probably get more benefit for about $70 Let us know what you find. Will

You Pick it, Wife is working 9-6, I am free for the whole day-was going to run upto the farm, but not with the rain. Loading and unloading a car in the wet is no fun! There is alway the weekend. I can go pick up the '73 pretty much whenever. Will
  16. Michael, "a bludger using tools on a filmed bucks night to come a guster with a car and london to a brick mean to make a bingle, and then think it is sick!" Roughly translated: A tool wielding goofball who takes handouts(donations) on a taped testosterone fest of screwing up a car, to make the car absolutely into a hellacious mess, and think he had really done something to be proud of! Think about all of that tallent and energy that these guys pour into nothing but fluff! Will

We are at 2cm, Baby is baking exactly as planned, that gives me some more time to get my hands dirty! Dr. said the plan is to induce if Henry Leyland Stokes is not out by O-dark-thirty on the 29th. If you haven't corrected your problem let me know, and we can get that going and install the headlight harness onthe '73. Have Deoxit, will travel. Ok, that isn't going to be his name, but I slept in a Hiliday Inn Express last night. Too much wife sitting(she took off work today), not enough oily grit under my fingernails. I must be going into shock. Will
  18. We have RON 87, 91, and 93 here in Ga. 87 goes for 1.82, and 93 goes for 1.98 at last fillup. Will
  19. Get some Deoxit, and clean all of the contacts in the the fuse box. ALso check them for tension on the fuses. Will
  20. Stay away from the electronic lotus flower, and the phosphorescent soma-work on the Z, as long as you use proper safety equipment and procedures, you are guaranteed to grow brain cells even if the parts you make don't work out! Will
  21. I would add, P90 or P90A head, Oil Cooler and adaptor, Wastegate, Turbo Oil Pump(Get the JY turbo engine and pull the parts off it-no scrounging, 1 stop shopping.) You will also need a better radiator-the narrow Camero Aluminum radiator-952 if memory serves. I bought mine from Penn Radiator off the internet, $63 with shipping several years ago. Keep the pistons from the turbo-spec them out and have them ready when you turn up the boost too much, or don't have enough fuel, or you timing is too advanced. You might also upgrade the alternator with the one from a turbo engine, and the starter with one of the gear reduction units from the ZX. One note, when looking for a turbo engine, look for an auto tranny car, the engine stands a much better chance of being in good shape. Will P.S. Which parts have you got?

We had to give you something for Steve and Terry Irwin! I think we got the better end of the deal though! I have been watching the Suspension video from ZTherapy instead of all of the reruns of Monster Garage. The video is very informative, and a great buy! Will

If you move the whole thing (by end)it will work, but the suspension parts are not individually swappable. Will
  25. People in general! Alpha ain't from Ga, and I am not from Down Under-though visiting is nice-Carl, git your mind out of the gutter-there ain't room nuf for both of us down there! Will
