All of the feedback after the first Pos was added since this morning. There were several Negs, and one Pos when I wrote Ebay and Paypal. Most of the "new" pos are from transactions from June and before. I have not left feedback yet because I do not know what is going on, but when I do, I will. Will Where is everybody shopping now? I need a bunch of parts/hardware for my stripped '72!

There are several recent blemishes on the Ebay feedback Chloe that built. I have filed a complaint with both Paypal and Ebay. They list Chloe as the owner of the business, and gave a hotmail account for her email address. Someone is trying to take advantage of the loyalty Chloe worked so hard to build. If ebay and paypal don't get the issue resolved and information passed, I can now call the local police, and get them involved as my transaction is fully documented and across state lines. Looks Like MidWestZ has become a black hole. Will

Yesterday was three weeks since the "buy it Now" and paypal payment. Two weeks since my first email. one week since my last email, I will send my last attempt today. In three weeks there has been no email, no product, no contact! I suppose that ebay and paypal can force some kind of a response. Will

$600 for the 280Z, The ZX is too far gone for anybody but 26thZ! I would cut out the good parts and leave the rest, the T-roof is useable, most of the glass is good, and there are other body areas that would make good patch panels-the drive train and brakes are spoken for. Will

Watch Ebay, I bought a pair of rustfree straight '72 door shells for $125 including shipping. Will

I wonder what you will find when you start taking out the interior! You may have spent 3 grand on somebodies stash! From the pictures, I don't think one weekend with the plasma cutter and the Tig will be long enough, I better bring the mig and some cupons too!! (That means teach you how to weld, so we can both have a go at it!-don't worry, the mig has stargon, not spatter wire) Will
  10. I am still exploring the options, but as I said at the beginning of this thread, I don't expect to really get seriously into it untill after the '72 is back on the street and beautiful (December/January). I am exploring manufacturing methods/contractors in the meantime. The plexi is no problem, the trim ring is a little more complicated, and then I have to work on the seals-but they sould be the easiest of all. Will
  11. Ahmed, Check my gallery, I posted pictures of all of the parts last night. The chrome trim is made up of two stamped pieces welded together(I photographed it from the bottom so the welds were in view. The Plexi was proably molded from a flat sheet. Will

TomoHawk, I have recovered a set before, and it looked good, cut the edges flush and tighten the screws to sink it in the carpet so you can't see the edges. I am sure you sould paint them with epoxy paint, appliance enamel, por15, or any other heavy duty paint. I even made a set out of stainless steel once-still have them, might make it into my '72. The metal used on the originals is pretty thin, and not a good alloy in that almost any water will make them rust. Will
  13. 1GENZED. The mounting screws go through both the chrome ring and the plexi. The plexi extends to 1/16" of the outer edge of the chrome ring all the way around. That is to say the outer edge of the plexi is a smooth curve, as the the inner and outer edges of the chrome ring. The ring is about 3/4" wide and completely uniform. I tried to post pictures on thursday, but it appears my card reader has bitten the dust. Follow the link from BlueZ to a decent picture of them-I will try to replace my card reader over the next day or so. Will http://www.zparts.com/ads/arrivals/images/DCP_0664rw.jpg

Damn Carl, You are as good as you say you are! I knew I saved that, but it must have been several hard drives ago! Thanks for keeping that steel trap in working order! Mine, evidently, has rusted shut-no doubt from being stored on the floor of this '72! You truely are a good egg! My left ear thanks you, and my Z will thank you when it gets back under its own power, and off the rotisserie! Will

On one of the other clubs I ran across an article from a guy who replaced the seals in question with a specific part # from JCWhitney. Suprisingly, he said it made a huge difference in the wind noise in the car, and was the most effective modification he had made. I can't find the article, but if someone else saw it(Carl, Tomohawk, Enrique, MikeW...), maybe we can get the part number. If it was really that superior, I want to use it, and others might as well. I'll send you an article from Autospeed if you will PM me your email address. Will
  18. Enrique, you did pretty much what I envisioned, but to allow for clearance variation between cars, I will probably make it so that the actual headlight bucket holds the seal, and the back of the sugar scoop contacts it-it will probably be in two pieces, and a little more to instal, but do it once, and that is all!. Will
