Follow your doctors orders, eat right, rest up, and think about the good times ahead! A Z waits, and holds the good times for its owner! Everyone knows even sitting in a Z has recuperative properties! Get well soon! Will

Those are interpart louvers-I don't know if the locks are/were available by themselves. I'll go through my parts and see if I have any, Since your laast post on this subject, I bought a set of NOS Interpart Louvers for 280ZX, and they may have the same locks-if so, I'll see about reproducing them for you. 6. No, Stephen, you are not alone...Carbon fiber used for advantage is a good thing to me, Carbon Fiber used primarily for cosmetic appearance is RICE!!! This piece is for a tripple carb setup, not the stock dual carbs, so I suppose it does have a specific purpose, but it costs more than each of the two sets of tripple webbers I have... Will
  7. Seems like WAY TO MUCH MONEY for a simple cosmetic part...as there is no over the counter airfilter that will fit is as is, and it isn't tuned for any application. Will

Spring color can be an indication, on the shock, pull one, and it will be stamped, but if they are adjustable from the top, they are probably Tokico. Will

Suspension Techniques urethane products come with a small packet of silicone grease-the grease goes in every metal to urethane contact. The grease is available from autoparts stores-at least in my area. Will
  12. Replace the leaking gasket(probably)and the stud, replace the leaking part(maybe), or tighten what ever is loose(seriously doubt it). That sounds easy, but will probably entail removing the exhaust manifold, removing a broken stud, replacing the gasket and the stud, and putting everything back. Will
  13. You more than likely have a leak in your exhaust mainfold/gasket. The last exhaust stud frequently breaks and allows the gasket to leak, in some cases the EGR path leaks. pop your hood with the engine running and see if you can narrow down where the sound is coming from-more than likely you will have fumes coming from the same place. 14. Bob, This is a great idea! www.datsunheritagemuseum.com I don't want to waste anyones time answering questions and getting details that could be posted once for everybody. Will
  15. Depends on your skills. Anybody can strip a car, welding a clip to look right takes a very good welder, lots of time in alignment, some massaging, A correctly fixed '71 should be more valuable than a '76...but it depends on final repair cost...the more work you can do, the tougher it is to choose. Will
  16. Carl priced NEW parts, not USED parts...the difference is not so funny-pick any part and see... Will

Every cap I have run into was installed with either Velcro, or more often, silicone. As Ron suggests, carefully pull it off-but if you think you are doing some damage, use a razor to trim the top into manageable pieces. ANy damage you do will be covered by a new to or the restoration of the dash. Will

Chris, Yes you did, Thank You, and I will honor your wishes shortly. Special treatment would be your not accepting a copy for for your participation!-please accept my wishes on that one-you actively participated in the project, planned and arranged ahead for the return of your materials and have patiently been waiting... Mr. Camouflage, I have experimented with many, and expect to use several in conjunction currently I am working with AskSam (I worked with it on a project for the Ga. DNR years ago, and remembered even then it had some abilities I need in this one.)pdf995, and assorted compilers. I am open to suggestions! Will

Rick, While I appreciate that thought, as you know-because you did it- A few people-including Tomohawk-did just that! I really did expect to cover return shipping because of the nature of the literature involved. In the scheme of things, return shipping costs are not an issue. There is still a bunch of work left-the menu infrastructure is where I am currently falling all over myself. My plan is to have several collections of materials available-I expect there will be a few that want it all-like me-a few that want specific models(the manuals that came with the model car and the FSMs for that model-IE: 240Z), and a few that want only the technical updates(to support the manuals they already have) for their model, a few that want the supporting documents(Introducing the 240Z) for their model and one that isn't really interested in any of it, but wants it all anyway. My goal is one menu for all(with the unavailable grayed out)versions so the every time the dvd is opened, every one knows what is available and from where. I also want everything indexed and completely searchable-and to compile the project into one large file to make it too much work for the unscrupulous to divide out the files and sell them on ebay-at the expense of supporting our club. I want to be able to type air conditioning and get a list of the dated entries from the FSM, technical bulletins, supplemental manuals, owners manuals, factory literature, and select copywrite-exempted third party literature-in that order. As a reminder, This club is the the only entity with a valid copywrite exclusion from Nissan and a few other companies for these printed materials. Will
  21. The doors are also longer-as are their glass, the mechanisms inside, the suspension springs and anti roll bars are longer and stiffer as well-not to mention seat and interior trim differences. If you really want to do this all you need is the dimensioned drawing of both, plenty of time, excellent sheet metal and glass skills. Then the question becomes: Why? Will

I did this in the early 90s. I used fabric/Vinyl SEM had nothing (at least where I was) that mentioned carpet. I dyed a set of Honda seats(orig. Gray) and re-dyed my faded black(brown looking) carpet at the same time so they would match. I don't remember the specific name of the color-only that it was black. It could well be that the formulations are better now, but I spent the better part of four days on the project-waiting included-with about 8-10 hours of serious work remove the carpet, reinstall the seats, beat the sand out, vacuum, wash and rinse it three times, once with Dawn, once with carpet cleaner, and once with dye prep from the place I bought the SEM dye from. Let it dry (hurry up and Wait). Dye it/Dry it (three soakings) rnr the Honda seats and the carpet. The dyes probably are better now, but when I painted/dyed my 280ZX interior burgandy again, it faded to purple in 90 days-even with meticulous preparation as directed. I value my time more than that! I have used both Rit and SEM on both fabric seat upholstery and carpet. The Rit had the same short comings Ron spoke of-and it came off on clothes on long sweaty backed trips. The Sem gooped together at first, but with brushing to separate the fibers, it actually looked good for about two weeks, then the dye started coming off-in the high wear areas. The places that weren't touched looked good, but the point was to make the entire thing look better for an acceptable length of time. Granted, at that time the car was a daily driver. I came to the conclusion that a dye job was a money saving time waster for faded seats/carpet. By the time you remove, clean, dry, dye, dry, and replace, you spend too much time on a too-temporary fix. On an occasional driver, it might be Ok-for a daily driver, never again! Will
  24. I've got some used 240Z insulators-depending on you date of manufacture, they could fit. They are yours for shipping. Will
  25. I am going to have to spend a little more time over there-I missed all of that-Wow! Will
