My plan is to install the Nikki because I like the look of it. I will install an electric as well. From what I understand you can run an electric to push through the mechanical. That way if the electric fails I’m not stranded and I also may only turn the electric on for cold starts and running it hard and on hot days. As far as the safety relay, if I destroy the car in a wreck I may want to go with it. ?

After doing more research it seams these Nikki pumps were original from the factory along with many other pumps. So now I feel stupid asking if it is better than the “regular”. What’s on my 240 is very different looking. I’ll try to get a picture. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

I have found a NOS Nikki fuel pump in my parts hoard. Still has zinc coating on everything, looks brand new. My question is there any advantage to have this pump over the standard fuel pump? I ask because I am one of the typical people with a built 280 motor and my su carbs seem to starve the engine and lean out on the top end. I have been wanting to add an electric pump but haven’t gotten around to it. And I know there can be many reasons why I’m leaning out, that’s not the discussion please.
