A couple months ago I installed these Monos with the rubber inserts in the alum. pedal. They're a little easier on the soles of driving shoes which aren't cheap.

  7. Sounds like a cool Playstation-2 game! "MSA-2005" with options of a car show, dyno-run, and a feature to test drive each others Zs on and off the track, with and without mods!
  8. Redondo? It's about a 45 min. drive East on the I10 Fwy. to the 57 Fwy.
  9. It's where I live and what I drive at the track.
  10. I thought so, and I would think so too.
  11. Okay, once replacing the cam, is there enough oil pressure upstairs to run both oiling methods?
  12. Last month I replaced the oiler bar with another, since the previous one had the end (#6) cyl. almost apart. I guess this is common for the #6 oiler section to fall off. What is the thinking of removing the bar and blocking, taking away oilling from the top?
  13. If you want to park together you need to put a plan to meet and get in line at the same time. There are some clubs that have their act together and get 20 some cars to arrive and line up, they park in a row together. It's not easy to organize and pull it off. If you are serious, make a plan and get there early. We arrived around 6:30 (I think) and got about 5 or 6 WestcoastZracers together in line and still had a long wait. They do a dam good job at squeezing alot of cars in and parked as fast as they can. Also a CZCC sticker in the corner of your window would be a quick ID for other CZCC people to say HI! The car show was great, but it was the heat that sucked last year.

gramercyjam, you must have been spinning over 7K at the end of that 1/2 mile straight with those 4.44 rear gearing! Do you like that setup? I'm currently limited with this crazy 4.63 set up now. I run out of gear at about 1/4 mile in 5th at 7K. I have a 4.11 in the shed I'm getting ready to go thru. As far as speed, don't know? cable or the speedo-gear in trans must be bad? Gotta get under and see whats up.

Vicky, as far as the "feather Hat Clip" yea, got them from the Fair, and then I lost them to a Police Ocifer who took them for his own use!!! The back folding seat was good for hiding things, like gallon jugs and stuff. :nervous:

My Formula Firebird has a 3" single QuickTime exhaust cutout with a Y pipe. This explains how it works. http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/ Check out some of the customers photos of how they mount them. Dump- refers to the fact of just dumping your exhaust out somewhere under the car, instead of putting it out the back end. Most are dumped at the rear axel, or just after the muffler it is just dumped out towards the ground with a pair of "turn downs". But the quicktime cut outs are alot of fun to play with.

If your shims are missing you can get a set at MSA for about $18-19.00, they have some more hardware with them too. I just ordered a set this week should have them today UPS. Also some of that brake quite grease with the shims should be good too.

Vicky- We're not old yet are we? Mine was a metallic silver with blue rocker panels. I had silver mirrored windows that always got me pulled over! I also had hi-jacker air shocks. If I can find some pics I'll post one for ya. It was a good looking car. I called it the "Silver Bullet". AM/FM Cassetter & 8Track! cool huh! Did you have that roach-clip feather thing hanging from the mirror too? :paranoid: Anyways sold it to buy my first Z, 72 240Z, in the early 80's. ignore the date of the pic, on 9-11-04 I took a picture of an old picture.

As Beandip put it-"the engine should be dissassembled and hot tanked and cleaned of all debris". Hopefully it was just debris that the builder missed and hope it didn't go through the motor. If the motor had all that time & money put into it, why wouldn't you at least dissassemble and freshen-up again? Not sure how much longer it will fly like that.
