  4. I found out that it was the connection from the new throttle body to the air flow meter. If that isnt completely sealed up then it runs like crap  Thanks for all your help!

I was just doing some tire shopping of my own and I found that the 215's will be best for that size width. I have 7.5's and I have 215s on it that say they will fit 7-8" rims. at 7.5, the tire is about straight up and down with the width of the rim. So any larger then 215s for a 7" would be pretty bulbousy for the rim and I wouldnt want to risk it hitting the struts when you can just go for the 215s for safety. Just my 2c Good luck!
  6. Do you have the fuel injected throttle body switch that sits on the intake on the opposite side of the throttle linkage? I will buy it if you have one for sale... Thanks
  7. Looking for the Throttle position switch that sits on the throttle body for a fuel injected 280z 75. If anyone has one for sale please respond! Thanks guys! Dean
  8. Hey guys, I have a 75 280z EFI fuel injected. I bought a 60mm Throttle body a while back and had some trouble fitting it to the stock linkage and being able to adjust it and all but, my question is if anyone knows how you could bore out the intake so the larger intake can be more useful. Instead of forcing more air from a larger opening into a smaller hole, have the smaller opening be bored out to meet the larger opening as well. Does anyone know how to do this by your self or is it reasonable to take it somewhere to get it done, or is it even possable? Thanks for your input guys! Dean

Hey guys, I've installed a 105 amp alternator 1 wire GM model that does not fit up to our conventional z car bracket. I made one out of metal and welded it all up but it is allitle off and the alternator keeps getting loose and wont charge. I need to know if anyone has bought a special alternator bracket for the z car for a GM model alternator? Thanks guys!
  13. I bought a new alternator recently as well and there are two hookups for coords that have to be connected correctly to a switch or just connected together for the system to recharge. I used a but connector and the special hookup found at autozone and the system charges fine, with out it, the system will not charge. IT is a safety device designed to run to a possalbe cord so if anyone steals the car without knowing that you need to flip this switch to charge the battery, the car dies and they cant take the car anywhere. Just my 2cents I thought I should let you know. Dean
  14. Hi guys! Im having trouble with my Z at the moment. A couple of problems at once but managable and one problem Im not quite sure how to fix other then some extensive cleaning of the fuel system or ignition system. The Problem: :pirate: Starts up fine like it always has but recently it sputters like its running on 3 cylinders and is blowing black smoke from the excess gas not being ignighted like it should be. The car lacks power BIG TIME and is not safely drivable at the time. The other problems Im fixing with it are the old heater hose from the fire wall to the back engine S shaped hose went out and started leaking anti freeze while I was driving and made the car over heat. Then the car had a dead battery from the alternator charging at below 12 volts. The Car: :rambo: 280z 1975 Fuel Injected, recently put a new distributor and had timing fixed, ran great till now. I've been keeping all of the matenence up to date. Fixing: :surprised I ordered a new heater hose through zcarparts.com and should be coming in the next week or so which is a while... and tightened the alternator belt and that fixed the dead battery problem. (I switched to a 1wire 105 amp alternator eariler) This sputtering problem is unconsistent and strange, I bought a spark plug problem analysizer that you put inline with the spark plug to determine good connections and will do that tomorrow. If that is not the case it must be the 30 year old fuel injectors and fuel system? (I just replaced the fuel filter) The new fuel injectors are 50 bucks a pop at the cheapest place I could find. :bandit: IS there a way to clean the injectors and the fuel system if that seems to be the problem? I would love to know if anyone has taken their fuel injectors apart and what you need to clean and reinstall them! Thanks for your expertise guys! Loyal Z car fanatic, Dean
