Hey didn't happen to get a price on both those tanks? This will be my next project, rear mount would be pref but there's not much room when u start adding 2 pumps.

I'm toying with the idea of 'Italian' 60's style gt stripes, say a 3 inch stripe with 1/4 inch stripes on either side running over the centre of the bonnet and roof, biggest problem is straight lining over the bonnet blister. Does any one have the diametions of those side stripes on Gav's Avatar? love to make up something similar

It holds the wiring loom back to the firewall, somewhere above the acc pedal linkages I think. Like the dynamat where do you get it from?

Its definately a clutch pack, I've had the cover off it once before just for curiousity. All the crown wheel bolts etc were drilled and nicely lock wired. And I wouldn't think fitting the same side shafts I had on the r180 to the r190 could make any difference?

Turned out to be the internal reg alternater I run on the 2.8efi, changed over to an old alt with an external reg, not burning fuses now but the amp gauge still reading in the +ve

Thanks My mechanic refilled the diff with the Castrol lsx85/140 I always use, but the first thing he asked me when I picked the car up was is this a locker diff, because he couldn't get it to slip while on the hoist. I assured him that the nissan lsd had good clamp up. It wasn't until I had it home off the trailer and drove it I knew what he meant. Turns over freely and sounds quiet, just hops and pushes in the corners

Just replaced the r180 3.9 open with my 4.6 lsd r190 tonight and found its turned into a locker!! Its been sitting on the garage floor the last 10 months but was working perfectly when I pulled it from my 510, now its jumping around the corners just like a locker. Should I keep driving it till something breaks free :paranoid: I always thought when a lsd stuffs up it turns into a single spinner, or do I have topull it out and reinspect.

Thanks guys It's a '73 aussie model, so there is no marker lights or hazard switch. The car has been off the road for over ten years and was in a pretty sad state interior wise. I'll start at the fuse box first and clean it up, other than that I'm guessing there must be a wire after the fuse causing a strong ground. cheers

Anyone know what runs off the Flasher fuse in a 240Z? I 've got a big electric issue with the Flasher fuse, the amp gauge reads +ve and the indicators work till this fuse blows. It gets so hot the fuse holders have melted the plastic and I burnt my finger as solder ran out of the fuse!!!

I took mine to an auto trimmer and he made it up out of left over leather. $15

Can a 240z rotor go on a 260z hub? I'm thinking by doing this I will gain 11mm each side, just like having wheel spacers. Overall the 240 & 260 assemblys ( hub&rotor ) are the same size and fit both 240 & 260 struts, The differance is the 240 hub is 52mm and the 260 hub is 43.5mm and as such the 260 hub sits 11mm longer than the 240 hub to compensate Has anyone combined the longer 240 rotor and 260 hub or see any problems with it? thanks

Neat seats, they look like side mounts.Did you cut down the floor mounts to fit them?

This is interesting as I've also fitted a new MC to my 73 and had to fit a longer slave cyl rod to make the clutch work! I can't eliminate the MC as the problem as I fitted a different g box and clutch etc at the same time and never had the car running before. might see if I can measure the two

I've raced a standard 280zx 2+2 on dirt and it was gun, think about it 4w disc, P/S, fuel inj. Other than Carlos I've only seen one other 2 seater advertised in the last 10 years Best thing would be chasing panels etc. I can't give away the 280 parts filling up my shed :ogre:

You'll notice a HUGE differance in ride. Are those black inserts Peddar brand? Will you be fitting bump stops on the new inserts
