  1. That plate was there on my 78 before I made the conversion. Definitely for the automatic shifter mounts. You have to modify the shifter with a torch. Not sure why they didn’t cut off the flap instead of folding it over.
  2. There are posts available here on the forum that are larger. Hopefully someone will chime in and point you in that direction. There is no easy fix if you can’t bug it out with a meter.
  3. When is the last time the car actually ran. From the pics it looks like it was a very long time ago. Give us some history first please. Thanks
  4. Did you happen to follow my suggestion on checking the harness with a meter along with the schematic?
  5. Totally different circuit iirc. Get out the FSM and do some research to follow the wiring diagram.
  6. Something in the head light switch itself most likely.
  7. Well that stinks!!
  8. Just have to pull the tach and reach through the dash to change the bulb. Are you certain you have a bad bulb?
  9. You have a loose connection or cold solder joint that needs to be addressed. Did you say in an earlier post that the switches had been refreshed?
  10. Sorry about that. I totally didn’t put two and two together.
  11. @Jeff Berk, Are you trying to do something that’s not Stock? If so I totally understand. If not why not go to the local Nissan dealer with a p/n from CarParts Manual and order what you need. Forgive me here if I missed something.
  12. Probably has them made to order. Not sure it’s a fast moving item.
  13. Had one years ago. Switch mounted on the turn signal lever. Turned out to be a real mess. A lot of drilling and really ruined the look of the engine bay. Not to mention the model I had worked off the drive shaft and a lot of drilling into the body. I regret installing mine personally. It’s all been removed during the restoration. A lot of spot welds to fill holes.
  14. Touched base with Steve. At this point he hasn’t reproduced this grommet.
  15. View Advert 1977-78 Inner fender well headlight/side marker grommet Searched the best I can and can’t find a supplier for these two grommets needed. I can use what I have but not so good for the refurbished engine bay. Thanks in advance for any help moving forward. 16. Here are some pics of the grommet. I will also post on the wanted classifieds. Thanks
  17. Hopefully you have lock down casters on the cart with the vise!!
  18. Hmmm… Hopefully you just might have something that will work!!
  19. I’ve searched the forum and Car Parts Manual looking for the lighting harness grommet that feeds through the engine bay into the wheel well for the head light & side marker lights. Can anyone help with identifying or sourcing these grommets for my build? Appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks in advance….
  20. @Captain Obvious Go With The Bling. It ill be alright!!!
  21. Max at Resurrection Classics spends a lot of time researching and finding manufacturers. I’ve been to his whse and walked me through the parts inventory and the stories along the way getting to this point.
  22. What’s the possibility of somebody out there having a tail shaft housing they no longer need for whatever reason. You never know….
  23. Which seal company did you go with?
  24. Sorry, Didn’t realize you weren’t in the States. No Harbor Freight stores in the Netherlands I’m assuming.
