@Jeff Berk, Are you trying to do something that’s not Stock? If so I totally understand. If not why not go to the local Nissan dealer with a p/n from CarParts Manual and order what you need. Forgive me here if I missed something.

Cruise Control in 240Z
Had one years ago. Switch mounted on the turn signal lever. Turned out to be a real mess. A lot of drilling and really ruined the look of the engine bay. Not to mention the model I had worked off the drive shaft and a lot of drilling into the body. I regret installing mine personally. It’s all been removed during the restoration. A lot of spot welds to fill holes.

280Z Head light fender well grommets
I’ve searched the forum and Car Parts Manual looking for the lighting harness grommet that feeds through the engine bay into the wheel well for the head light & side marker lights. Can anyone help with identifying or sourcing these grommets for my build? Appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks in advance….

Attaching rear license plate bracket
They are very small plastic push pins similar to the interior but much smaller. Still available from Nissan. Expensive meaning they are $4.71 each but you have to buy a pack of 10. p/n 79909-E4100 Send me a PM if you can’t buy just 2

I recently bought the bolts from my Nissan dealer if you have a guy there that will work with you.

78 280Z - Finally got it driving - High Idle, will occasionally die (but restart), sound like it has a misfire
Replace that harness. I think you will find the reverse light sockets are corroded and have at least one bulb that is burnt out. The harness is the key IMHO. As far as tightening those clamps they only need to be snug. There isn’t any significant pressure except on the feed line.

Still struggling with car at idle after 8 years
Those contraptions are called non-foulers that were sold many years ago for worn out motors burning oil. Definitely not a permanent fix by any means. They came about over 50 years ago when I worked in my family’s auto part store.
