  1. From that pic it looks like it may be a bit shorter than the Z. Pretty cool.
  2. Tell me more about the GR86, You have my curiosity!
  3. I know a lot of folks including myself that have played with these tanks hoping for the best. Myself, I had the tank done twice as far as being cleaned and red coated only to find 3 months later pin holes in the upper part of the tank appeared and ended up throwing the tank away. I’m not promoting S30.world’s tanks. What I can tell you is they are amazing. Transfer your rubber cushion pieces over and you are set. Spent along time trying to save my original 78Z tank and was just a waist of time. Keep in mind, What is the red coat doing to the pickup screen. Just my 2 cents. Looking back now I wish I would have cut it open before I got rid of it.

Something I’ve run into more times than not is Sellers assume that what they are advertising fits the entire series. I’m sure there is not a lot of research going on before running the add.

$45, Free Shipping and no Tax. True a bit pricy. I think the more you run into parts that are NLA and are wearable items you find yourself paying a lot extra for these Zcars. I ordered one for mine today. I’ll pass on the quality and how it compares to factory.

Haven’t heard of anyone here on Classic Z attempting that size of fitment.
  8. Beck Arnley is as close as you will find. Didn’t realize you were going to try and rebuild it.

Did you try Fitment Industries. They are a custom wheel shop. Best bet is to ask on Hybrid Z site if you haven’t already.

Is the rail solid except where the regulator is plumbed in. Late 77 on had the solid rail.

Fuel pressure regulator. What year fuel rail are you using or should I ask is it the early two piece rail or the later one piece?
  14. Are you going to try to utilize that one?

I’ve got a full set from my 280 when I did the disc conversion. Send me a pm if you need something.
  18. @matt90gt, A lot of folks search the forum as you well know looking for problem solving clues. By chance did you have an opportunity to go back and edit your strategy for the vacuum canister. Reason I mention is it’s human nature to not read the entire thread. I know I’m guilty of that myself. Thanks for the input and welcome to the forum.

Mine ran around 32 after the initial start. Mine bled off rather quickly meaning over but was never a problem on a cold start.

Shipping will cost more than the grommets. Buy a few!!
  21. It’s all in his “Magic Bag of Tricks”. What color is that bag anyway??😂
  22. Check the ohm rating in the FSM for your car. Amazon has a good selection including Bosch. One of the 240 guys here could probably advise.
  23. I’ve always asked folks here. Have you checked the coil?
  24. My experience is having one guy pushing downward as far as you can and the other tightening the bolts.

There have been a lot of folks that made the conversion and swear it’s a night and day difference.
