Check the common wires on all your speakers going back to the head unit.

Datsun Spirit has a kit with the cable and adapter plate sold separately. I bought the kit to put on my triple OER carbs from Japan. Might want to reach out to them and see if the kit will work for you’re application.

Hard to answer that. Normally they put them there for good reason.

    Clogged strainer/rust in your tank

Double the speed seems more than possibly having the incorrect speedo gear. Any chance the speedo itself has gone south on you?

Are you still running the same trans & diff combination or has something changed?
  9. I’ve mentioned this three times now on the forum about doing a leak down test. Not sure why thats out of the question of truly giving you a confidence level of each cylinder. At least do it on cyl #4 and go from there. Does anyone agree? Been at this along time….
  10. I think those are decent numbers…Would like to get an opinion from other folks on running the leak down test just.. to confirm the engine status.
  11. Impressive information
  12. I think you’re on the right track doing these things your self. As my post#79 I recommend a leak down test after you get accurate compression readings. We are here to help.
  13. Does anyone agree a leak down test would plainly tell the issue here?
  14. Compression test first of course. Leak down test after that if the first test isn’t conclusive. My 2 cents..
  15. After the fire that blew up in his face I presume. Big loss in my opinion.
  16. @Racer XHow does the higher octane level affect the timing settings on the engine itself? Meaning retarding or advancing the timing.
  17. Tabs not there as I found out when I did my conversion. ZCD has the bracket if you haven’t procured one yet.

Did we ever get an answer if it was a stock pan or not? Alot of energy going into this.

He sent me some pics and his that he makes is pretty much all wood. I’ve got a metal fabricator next door that can make brackets for me if I can make templates. My thought was using the existing motor mount location on each side and the two lower bell housing holes on the rear. just looking for other ideas out there that others have had success with. Once it’s on the truck who knows what happens. More concerned about the return trip than anything. Thanks
  20. I’m ready to ship my long block to Eiji at Datsun Spirit. Looking for ideas on building a crate for shipment. seen a few pics out there but most look like a good portion of the oil pan is supported by the wood frame. Any help or advice is much appreciated. This will be a round trip affair. Thanks in advance.

Order this “T” fitting from Glow Shift!!! Run both gauges at the same time. GS-FA-05.

Sorry the first two pics of the tee are incorrect. That’s a brake line tee

Did you install the gauge directly into the block with the brass fitting adapter? If not I’m not confident with any of the previous attempts. I’ll post a pic of how mine is configured.

Same gauge I currently use on a T fitting
