Take a look at “American Modern”. I’ve got my project insured for 30k for a little over $200 annually. $100 deductible with 3k miles a year. The stipulation in mine is it has to be garaged. You can also buy it back if god forbid it was totaled. I’m still in the build stage but will be transporting it quite a bit during the final stages.

@Dave WMOne thought on the performance aspect between the two motors. On the test stand you had a free flowing exhaust setup where I think on the car you’re still running the restricted system with the original catalytic converter and smaller exhaust. Please correct me if I’m mistaken My friend. Great job quick turnaround time.
  4. Just ordered mine! Great Cause!!

You are going to need a FSM “Factory Service Manual”. Available here to down load. Please stop throwing parts at the project. You will quickly find yourself going down a rabbit hole. Second we are going to need a lot of background history in order to help you. A lot of reading and research is ahead of you. There are numerous possibilities. Start by downloading the FSM.

Sounds like your panels are in great shape. Might want to let the professional handle that as well. You’re fortunate to have a good shop to turn to. IMO
  14. Did you try your flashers? That will verify good bulbs. Easy enough to change the flasher.
  15. That’s probably how they found it on the side of the road 😂😂😂

@chaseincatsCan you explain why you did not go wit the seal and peal adhesive? Just curious. If it did not work you could easily remove it. just curious at this point.
  17. Datsun Spirit stage 4 requires 93 octane. Not sure where I can find non-ethanol where I live.
  18. @SteveJ Not sure you want to tackle this one…Unless there’s another thread out there, Pretty sure it was just straight hard wiring the two harnesses with a color combination between 2 manufactures if I recall.
  19. I need to find 93 octane ethanol free if someone knows a major distributor that offers that.

Cheap caulk gun is all you need. Go to Harbor Freight and pick up a cheap one for a few bucks. I’d go with the recommendations that are proven. IMO

I’ve had great luck with them other than they don’t answer the phone any longer. So much for old school ordering.☹️

I think he may be talking about applying a sealant similar to windshield adhesive to the new gasket.

At this point I’d be inclined to replace everything that you bought from him. Not worth the chance. Did you replace the pistons as well?
