Re bleed needed?
Did you measure the depth of the existing rod on the old booster and compare it to the reman booster? If that’s not dialed in you won’t get the Mc travel from the pedal.

Still struggling with car at idle after 8 years
What were the compression readings by cylinder?

Not quite overheating
With all respect friend, these gauges are far from precise. New gauges are of course NLA. It would be interesting if you could try another gauge or better yet install a temporary or just take readings from the radiator itself. You might be just chasing a ghost. From what I’ve read in this thread you’re relying on a reading from a 40 plus year old gauge. My 2 cents

Not quite overheating
@Zed HeadI was going to ask the same question about the temperature readings. I assumed that after market gauges were aded in order to get the readings that were reported.

Fuel pump eccentric on a 2.8L
As @Zed Headmentioned, Quality pumps are hard to find and have had numerous quality issues. Might want to consider a electric fuel pump with a pressure regulator.

Looks like the front position could go forward a bit under the strut. On the rear is where I position my stands. Thoughts Gentelman.

280z Rear Strut Spacer?
One thing you haven’t mentioned which I’m familiar with. Did you happen to remove the factory bumpers and replacing them with the 240 series bumpers? Just asking. When I removed mine the car’s ride height went up over 2 inches.

1972 240z Ahmeter / Fuel gauge replacement
Get a small suction cup. Lick the inside of the cup and gently see if it adheres to the glass. Once pulled forward see if the gauge goes back to normal. In a shop you never know where there hands are going especially if you’re working under a Z dash. A finger or thumb may have pushed that glass in. My two cents…

Restoring fuel/ ahmeter and other gauges in a 240z (paint and full restoration)

Pics? Definitely not factory but could probably help with what you have on the car now. Two sets of Toyota truck calipers will bolt directly on.

Florida Members Roll Call
Lost power Wednesday afternoon. Came back on late last night. Still no Spectrum yet. Verizon just came back up this morning. My house is fine. Lost a fence and part of the aluminum roofing on the back of the shop itself. Overall not bad. Could have been a lot worse. Hope everyone is ok.
