  1. The steps I’m recommending worked for me personally. I was in the same boat. Car sitting for a very very long time.
  2. First test IMO should be to isolate the tank as suggested earlier by disconnecting supply and return lines. Supply line to pump 3/8. Return line 5/16. Drop them in a 5 gallon can. Start the engine. One variable eliminated.

Why do you need to continue adding oil?
  4. @Patcon is dead on here. The entire system is antiquated. Funny as I was fighting your battle with my 78 I ran across the same issues. @Dave WM a friend close to me and helped tremendously getting my engine running to spec said “if it’s idling fine and you loosen the oil cap or remove the dipstick and it becomes rough and wants to die, chances are you do not have any vacuum leaks.
  5. Remove both the hoses and extend them with barbed fittings available at ace hdw. Otherwise you have to keep filling the tank and you can monitor the fuel coming back.
  6. It’s a formed hose that runs from the side of the block up beneath the intake.
  7. It should also have the turbo cv axles as well. The 83zx 2+2 parts car I found had them. Installed them in my car.
  8. AAR valve is designed to give the engine more air at startup Once the coil de energizes inside the valve the port closes and reduces rpm. Hence there are more challenges ahead. These systems are a puzzle no doubt.

Might want to ask @Dave WM about his experience. I believe he had to transfer the metal. Way back when I had to replace my dash due to a clown stealing my stereo, Dashes were still available and came as a complete piece with the metal.
  14. Gentleman, Can we please stop this nonsense. Please take your argument somewhere else Please.

    Are they the same length?

Went down the same road you are speaking of the first time. I’m running ZX turbo axles now with no issues. The adapters you portray was my initial try and yes they bind on the left side. Was hoping the adapters @Patcon found would alleviate that. I’ve got aftermarket axles never used on my shelf collecting dust.

might have something you can use for the axles if you haven’t bought them yet. Send me a dm
