Ground the sending unit going to the gauge. It should swing all the way to the full position. @SteveJ please correct me if I have lost my mind which is very possible!!

IIRC, you’re required to use the existing metal work from the original dash and fit it to the replacement. Unfortunately NOS dashes aren’t available of course but they came complete from Nissan back in the day. Quite a few members here have installed these.

Packaging, Don’t know if ZCD will bend it in half. Classic tube didn’t on mine. Your call

ZCD has the slave line bracket that you can drill and rivet to the inner fender well. From experience, Ask me how I know! Run the line first. Tie every thing in then mark it.

I can tell you first hand it’s a nite and day difference all the way around as far as power and driving experience when you swap it over to a manual transmission. Not trying to talk you into it of course 😂😂😂

You also will not have the metal stantion welded to the firewall with the rubber bumper attached for the clutch pedal.

Remove the tach pull it out and reach through the whole. A lot of work without testing the harness wiring IMO.
