  3. Look straight down in the pic. You’ll see the bottom bolt next to the recoil spring and you can see the edge of the spring bracket held on by that bolt. Here’s a pic
  4. John, your intake does not have 4 bolts where the throttle body mounts?
  5. Theres a curved vacum port on the bottom of the throttle body
  6. The canister and the vac advance are connected by a vacuum “T”. The bracket for the spring iirc mounts to the bottom bolt on the throttle body on the engine side.

  8. That’s an aftermarket pump. Way less expensive but….again controversial.
  9. Did you recently replace the factory pump with the aftermarket model. Controversial subject I know.

    @dylancorrea1Your not starting the car during a compression test so don’t be concerned about creating any more damage. If you have questions on doing it properly please ask questions where we can help. Good luck and pass on your findings. A cold test should give you some idea.
  18. Did you ever check the timing? That will tell us a-lot. Do you have a timing light at home? Really need to have a base line here.
  19. Grab a can of Kroil oil and smother them good for a day. Much better than PB blaster.

    Easy to do but recommended you change both sides. Pressure differential sometimes will blow the other side. Check your shoes to see if they are wet.
  21. Speaking for myself, you’re taking a chance by still running that engine until you find out exactly where it coming from. If you didn’t have any strange noise until you’ve made a change then likely it’s something you’ve changed or altered. Good luck with your findings. Please report back.
  22. I’d probably go reverse order on your pump install and see what you have. Those crickets are coming from somewhere. Could it be possible the plastic gear not meshing properly creating the noise?
  23. Looks like you put two separate variables in the loop at one time. Backtrack, check your work and check every thing you touched. Have you checked the timing?
